The ride quality was even harsher as compared to our family sedans. From what i could see, the suspensions were not working at all, or they had set it to a harder setting. The bumps were easily absorbed by my 6 year old Fabia , but Avanti was jumping all over the place.

Just saw in the news today that the DC Avanti is priced around 30 Lakhs INR. I did not know until now that such a car existed, but after looking at it, I'm really amazed. I liked the design and the styling.

This looks like a VERY GENUINE effort by DC. 170 mm of ground clearance is amazing.

This could be a good base for better engines to come in the future with more power and could turn into a brilliant Indian made car under 50 lakhs which does a 250 or 270 maybe.

Breaking News for the DC Avanti: I was just confirmed that my vehicle would be delivered in the 2nd or 3rd week of March 2015. All the print advertisements and media hype is going to start in February 2015.

I forgot to Add to my previous post that I get to Test Drive the DC Avanti tomorrow in their Chinchwad Plant (Pune) I will post pictures and videos once I get there. Looking forward to a fun filled Avanti Day.

Unbelievable that this doesn't have airbags ! Also manually adjustable seats . No traction. The only thing anyone would buy the car for is the sportscar look and the 248 bhp engine. Though we have cars in the similar range deliverly 215 bhp as well and probably drive better. Also a lot of people would prefer an automatic.

The focus in only the design and what really took be aback was the lack of airbags. A 35 lakh car with no airbags shouldn't even be on the market.

Airbags are controlled EXPLOSIONS a few inches in front of your face. They need to be set up perfectly, and tested extensively (in that specific car) to be truly safe. If done wrong, they can break your neck or at the very least, cause further injury.

Honestly, I'd feel a little more comfortable without airbags, than with airbags that were retrofitted into a custom-built car like this.

I have not seen any Ads for the car yet. Which channel did you see it on? Not that this car excites me in any way, but I still really hope that TBHP does an official review. It would be very interesting for a lot of us.

Absolutely agree with you on this! Looks like they have really overlooked the safety aspect of the car. Wonder how many buyers would turn away due to this.
