Oh this is new? I was driving next to Ranbir in his R8 for about 15 mins. At Haji Ali he tried to speed up a bit, but he didnt know that there is a bump in the road. Poor guy must have got the shock of his life, I could have sworn that for a few mili-seconds the rear wheels were off the ground.

Poor guy! How bad it must be to scrape the bottom of a brand new supercar on the 2nd day itself!
Seriously speaking we just don't have the roads to drive these supercars or even sports cars. Period. Roads in mumbai are so bad that they can be almost termed as "offroad".

I dont think the bottom scraped, but the car was certainly almost in the air for a few miliseconds.

Dev Anand till he was about 70 plus years old moved around in Fiats/ Premier Padminis sometimes driving himself. When asked why he preferred this car he said that he would be easily identified on exotic cars on the streets and mobbed.
Raj Kapoor also switched over to Ambassadors in the later stages of his life.I have one video of his (film by Sidddarth Kak) wherein he is seen moving from Mumbai to his Loni farms and Loni village (where he established a school) near Pune on MAM 344 (registration number), a white Ambassador Mark 4. When asked about it he said "Mercs oh no! Almost all stars own Mercs but I love the Ambassador."

Mr. Dabholkar had once come to my college for some sort of Alumni seminar, but the auditorium was scantily populated. All his fault is what I would say; he'd brought the red monster along!

Its not outdated my friend, the V10 is just a different model. The V10 is also like 40lacs more on road than the V8. Frankly how does it matter, he will barely get to use the power of the V8 in Bombay, forget a V10.

i thought audi wouldnt sell the v8 anymore, once the v10 is ready. (just like other manufacturers such as Mercedes who doesnt sell the 200 K anymore and only the 200 cgi)
I didnt meant outdated in the absolute sense, but partially (if that makes sense).

The CGI was a replacement for the kompressor. The V10 is just an additional engine, to take on the other V10s like the Gallardo etc. The same way the C class has the C200 and the C250. Just another variant.

Lucky Ali's Mini. Still seems to be very well maintained - with a few changes. Chrome work on the C pillar and the number plate and after market tail lights.

I heard this Mini (or maybe his other Mini or BMW, if any) was siezed by ICICI bank due to defaults. Came to know of it through a bank guy only but Not very sure about the reliability of the information and I heard that it happened in Bangalore only.
