Actor Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly sold his Rolls Royce Phantom for an undisclosed sum. The luxury car was gifted to him by filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra after the two worked together on 2007’s Eklavya: The Royal Guard, reported Mumbai Mirror.

Pegged at Rs 3.5 crore, the car was reportedly purchased by a businessman. Amitabh is famous for his love of fancy cars and already owns a Mercedez S-Class, a Range Rover, a Bentley GT and a Lexus SUV

The car was on sale since quite a lot of time now I think. It has found it's new home in the Umrah Developers garage at Mysore where it shares the Garage with a Ghost!

AFAIK, The thing is that the number plate should have the exact same number as the RC so if the RC doesn't have a prefix of 0, then ideally, the plate shouldn't have it too. This practice (without prefix 0) was there before the advent of HSRPs I think and therefore, since these cars are older, they might have had only single digits on the RC.

While that is true to a large extent, it also has a lot to do with which car maker is offering the best “celebrity deals”. When one star cracks a deal he often tells the other and then their manager ensures he/she gets the same deal. Rather than go be the first one to negotiate a deal with another car maker, it’s easy to price match with the herd.

I think at this point RR has beaten even the previous gen Q7s popularity in Bollywood. Almost every A-list and some B-list star has one.
