Must say, both compliment each other (in a good way).
Is it just me or is the car buying by celebrities in Mumbai, atrociously high? I mean each month there is a car purchase and on average each celeb has 10+? I don't think even in Hollywood where each major actors net-worth is about 10 times more, is there so many expensive cars owned by each of them. Where on earth do these celebrities even store these cars within the flats in the prime city area which are tiny? Atleast in L.A the smallest celebrity home is like 10,000 sq.ft+ if not more and with a land area double that.
I feel Hollywood actors have better tastes too (some of them), and do not conform to the cliched same old models, Christian Bale for example drives a beat up 3-Series E46, Brad Pitt has a Jeep Cherokee and Daniel Radcliffe (no, I'm not a Harry Potter fan) just has a Fiat Punto!
Its like all the celebrities internationally aren't afraid to be caught in a beater-car and they just go about their business whatever it is. Maybe India being what it is.. hasn't matured to that level yet.
Just read an article about Salman being gifted a white Mercedes SUV, by SRK for obliging him and appearing in a forthcoming movie with him, in a special appearance. Shahrukh had done this also for one of his close friends as well in the past-farah Khan .
Yeah, SRK gifted Salman a GLE 450 AMG.

There will be exceptions (the really rich celebs who have enough space, mostly), but most 'smaller' celebs seem to 'cycle' expensive cars rather than 'own' them long-term. Get a car, run it for a while and palm it off. There are plenty of cases where celebs just get handed a set of wheels by a manufacturer for promotional purposes, and I won't be surprised if some of those cars never actually make it to the celeb's garage after the photo-op.

Don't be so quick to dismiss our stars as not being wealthy as hollywooders.:) As far as I know SRK, Sallu bhai and Akshay kumar regularly appear in the forbes list of highest earning actors in the world. I think SRK is already worth more than half a billion dollars. That puts him ahead of 90% of actors in hollywood in terms of wealth easily. Forget cars, I think he can afford a small plane by now

Yeah, he can afford one. You can easily get a private plane (brand new) under $40 million. But he once said that he has the funds but they aren't liquid assets. And that he has spent most of his money on making films.

Well i was thinking about smaller ones like the Honda jet. :) Those ones go for around 4 million. Surely that cant cause much of a cash crunch. But I guess thats just not enough for SRK

Aston RapideS as well as a Maybach!
Makes me really happy seeing his success, until 12 years ago he drove around in a beat up white Maruti Esteem- today he has Merc E,GLS,S Maybach , Jag XJ, Aston Rapide. Glad he's slurping on what he loves.

I'm sorry if I am nitpicking but that is a Rapide, not a Rapide S.
The Rapide made way for the S internationally but Aston still produces the Rapide with the updated exterior for the Indian and the Turkish markets. The Rapide S makes 550hp but the Rapide still makes 470 and is cheaper as well.

SRK seems to be using a RR Sport these days, if pictures are to be judged by. I doubt it is his though since it doesn't have the trademark '555' plates. Anyone know why?
Happened to spot SRK 2 weeks ago at a song launch event, and even then he was using the Pre-Facelift 740(the 'DU' series reg.), and not his usual facelifted 730(with the 'DR' reg.)
