Re: Rants on Bangalore's traffic situation

Folks:

Decided to work from home today due to continuous rain. My cab colleague who stays in Vijaya Bank layout said the roads there are flooded.
My office being in ITPL, it does not make sense to travel from Bommanahalli. So decided to work from home today

Re: Rants on Bangalore's traffic situation

Indica rear ended a BMTC bang opposite EcoSpace, while going towards Marathahalli. Both the vehicles are moved to the side. Expect slow moving traffic near that area.

Am not sure whats is happening over there but expect big queues going into town on HAL Airport road and also on both sides of the section bentween Trinity Circle and Domlur since a tree has crashed down on the side towards town. However, knowing the army, they will resolve ASAP

Re: Rants on Bangalore's traffic situation

All major roads are choked and the continuous rains are not making it any easier. I am working from home today. No point wasting time sitting in traffic for hours.
Bannerghatta road is solid red as are the neighboring roads that could have been taken to avoid the BG road mess.

Re: Rants on Bangalore's traffic situation

A traffic sign-post right at the corner on the junction atop the Kadubeesanahalli underpass has gotten bent at a right angle and blocking half of the Service Road leading to Prestige Tech Park / JP Morgan Chase / Aricent from EcoSpace side on the ORR. Since there's a crater on the remaining half, this can cause a traffic jam rather easily, which will spread to the ORR as well.

EXACTLY, the politicians syllogism/ruse is a party trick now and I will not fall for it no matter how "unpatriotic" I may be seen as.

Times are gone for the same ol' same ol' citizen bashing like "if you're not voting don't blame later" or "if you're not involved you're not Indian" or "pay taxes or else!!!". There has to be some limit for the persecution of a citizen, its gotten so bad that many innocents blame themselves for all the wrong-doings in the country.

I'm aware of my rights in a democratic country and I intend to exploit it to the fullest.. I don't have ANY obligation other than throwing the taxes at the mendicant organization that we know as the big G. Legally what is required shall be complied with to the fullest, its not that we can escape taxes as even eating out, buying of electronic goods, travel tickets, luxury goods, cars, services etc are taxed to the fullest. There's enough and MORE money for them to hire more traffic policemen at full remuneration + power to control the traffic. Also, did I just read in the traffic warden recruitment website that the duty includes work to assist "VIP" movement? *epic facepalm*

A tempo traveller jumed the median from shell petrol pump side into the other side and in broke down condition and was blocking 3/4 of the road @ 7:30 AM. Not sure it got cleared.. May be because of this.

Re: Rants on Bangalore's traffic situation

Travelling on my daily route from HSR to Kundanahalli: There was a tata 407 type vehicle breakdown on intel flyover on the left most lane. Traffic was a breeze after that. Not many bikes on road has helped (feel sorry for bikers). ISRO U turn was easy, probably because of trickling traffic from upstream (at Akme Ballet due to construction)

Re: Rants on Bangalore's traffic situation

Just reached office near Leelapalce after 1 hour 30 minutes drive (read crawling ) from Graphite India Junction, Whitefield. I started 7AM and reached office at 8.30AM, generally it takes 25 minutes on a normal day.

It took more than one hour from Marathalli to NAL Signal. There are huge queues on either side of old airport road.

Unless it's an emergency don't venture out on to old airport road. Please take a day off and enjoy at home.
