M800 at 135+!

Wow,
I used to max out at 140 in my 5-speed M800 on the same highway in 2002-03. Great power to weight ratio and consequently pickup. 130 to 140 takes a while....Breaking is the only little concern at those speeds.
I had to change my front grill twice, due to bird hits early morning (). Then I developed a curious symphony of horn blowing (sounds like an urgent staccato & possibly provides an awarness of the speed) and there've been no hits since.
Cheers & safe driving

Somehow I feel that the true power of the 800 is to be yet realised.

if you have the perfect power to weight ratio, you can achieve higher speeds without any trouble... I don't know y but i feel that if my car had another gear i would have been able to realise its true potential... I have to get myself 3 cylinder tacho to measure the RPMs am hitting.

I think a 5 speed 800 can easily top 145km/hr.

Worth mentioning that I once did an 85kmph on my Bajaj Super for about 10 seconds. And i should confess that it was very scarry.

And it gave me an average of aroung 20 kmpl during that fill.

Hey Tarul, no offense but i feel you shoudnt push it further. 170 is pretty fast and on city roads can be very dangerous.
Cheers,

My uncle once told me that he shifted from 3rd to 4th on his 800 at 130.Though ive never seen it,ive seen the piper lying at his house and i know for a fact that his car isn't stock.

Esteem top speed

Recently , my esteem touched 141kmph on Amdavad - Rajkot highway.
The roads become bouncy, and everyone knows esteem has a soft suspension setup, so it started jumping up and down(just kidding).

My Alto Lxi, 2007 model, touched 130kmph. It was just for a few seconds as I slowed down quickly due to oncoming traffic. Never again did i feel like touching that speed on highways, although i went quite a few times on the highway!
