I think 110 is the speed max speed in 2nd gear after which the power falls in the Baleno. my car is not entirely stock now, but will try to see the cut off once more. maybe other euro III baleno owners can give their inputs.

My 2006 Baleno is almost stock except for K&N stock replacement filter. It goes till 105kmph in 2nd gear, may be i haven't tried for more but 100kmph in 2nd gear itself is more than enough.

Dunno the exact figure. It was around the redline 6500rpm not beyond that..
I'm absolutely sure that a stock Baleno can do 100kmph in 2nd gear..

that baleno must have had some problem if it could not reach 100 in second gear. recently I drove a stock Baleno which has done 85000 Kms and it still went past the 100 mark in 2nd gear. and I have heard that some of the Euro II balenos launched initially could hit the 120 mark in 2nd gear, but I have not seen one. but 110 on the speedo is absolutely doable in a stock euro III baleno.

Not sure about the part in bold, but Nitrous, I agree with Blackpearl here. The Baleno does 100+ in second gear - at about 6200-6500 rpm. I can't be precise because of obvious reasons.

When my Baleno touches 105, the tacho needle is very close to the 6500 mark. I generally don't like over-revving, so I shift (whenever I rev that much, that is) at that point.
