Fed up of Cheating / Short fueling by Petrol Pumps? Look here

Although I could have posted along with so many ongoing Fuel cheating threads, but this Complaint/ Suggestion initiative from the OMC's needs a special attention here and direct visibility.

Please do not hesitate to make a complaint and put forward your suggestions to them.

The one I am already planning to call, is for a single dispenser of Petrol/ Diesel each for self-use customers using their Credit cards/ Petro cards.

That's a good move. Hope the govt will act after we complaining. I'am sure to complain as we never get the normal petrol at the fuel station. They always inform no stocks...

I dont think this will do any good.

This is just to give customers some hope , but they will be shattered.

In India , complaint cares just dont do anything.
Thats what i believe

Thanks for the headsup! If and when I do have a problem with adulterated fuel, you can count on me to lodge a complaint. Generally within the city, I fill up at a trusted IOC pump where I have never had an issue. For highway trips....well, that's another story.

Pessimism isn't the right attitude to start something with. If all of us think on these lines, then their phones wont receive any complaints. Lets first try it out, gauge the reaction and then pass our judgement.

I second GTO, there's the HP pump on the expressway that needs to put through the scanner for adulterated fuel. I think I'll start with that one.

And IOC is the best fuel you can get in the market, so I'm on the same pace with him on that one too.

A very good service this is.
They accept all kinds of complaints and suggestions.
I made a call to complain about fuel pumps not ready to fill air.

The operator was very friendly and patient to listen to my complaint. Now, I hope they follow it up well too.

Perhaps its time to change, I had made an online complaint quite sometime back and got a response from them with the action they had taken.

If we complain there is atleast some possibility of action, without it there's nothing.

Like the Bhagvad Geeta says " Karm kiye Ja, phal ki Iccha Mat Kar".

Good Move. But people need to act. Today they might not listen when 1-2 people call. But tomorrow they has to listen when 5-10 people calls up.
Leave the "CHALTA HAI ATTITUDE". Ask for what you supposed to get...

By the way where did you got the PIC...

The Hindu : National : Oil companies to launch cell to address consumer grievances today

PIB Press Release

Its started from 2 nd OCT

I have a suggestion for these companies. The phone numbers they have mentioned are only accessible from BSNL/MTNL lines.

How many of us have mobile connections from the above ? I think they should have opened it up for other big operators like Airtel, Reliance etc. Would have been more customer friendly.

I fill my Verna at the IOC COCO 24 bunk in BTM Layout and till now no complaints on milage front or on the service at that bunk. I really hope that this service really helps and HP bunk outlets pull up their socks.

The Pic says that only bharath petroleum toll free number says accessible from BSNL/MTNL lines, wonder if its the same for IOC and HP.

A good initiative. Regardless of the doubt if it will be completely effective from day one, it is a good step in the right direction.

We now know that the companies at least feel that their consumers issues needs to be addressed.

Thanks for sharing the info, Dadu.

After setting up anti-corruption helpline this is another very nice initiative taken by government/companies.

I hope things should work-on in the desired way or with perfect spirit, as being ran by government it might end with a crash

Finally, there is a hope to see that the consumers are not cheated by the dealers. I don't expect it to completely stop, but am sure that it will act as a deterrent for the dealers. I think we all should use this facility and ensure that the concerned authorities are aware of the problems we consumers are facing.

So how different is this going to be from the email complaints that many (including me) have already sent ?
