What is your daily office commute like?

City: Hyderabad.
Home: Near TSPA exit of ORR.
Office: Madhapur, close to Cyber Gateway.
Distance: 18 kms (one way).

Car takes about 30 mins, bike during return can take more time due to service road getting clogged.

Pre-Covid:

Distance 12km
Time: Unpredictable! Since my office was in one of the the brilliantly-designed 'IT Corridors' of Bangalore, traffic was a constant. I've been stuck in traffic jams at 7:30 am and at 10pm. Been stuck in a jam just entering and leaving my office building. On a good day, by bike it would be 45 mins minimum. On rainy days, by car, up to 2 hours for 12km.

Post-covid, past 5 years:

Commute Distance: 10-15 feet, from my bedroom to my study where I work!

When I do go to office to meet my team: 4km by bike to Metro station: 15-20mins. Peaceful, predictable Metro ride to office: 22 mins consistently. Nice walk to office: 10mins.
