This bloke loves his mother so much that he has mentioned her on the number plate. The advocates primary liability. Legibility of the registration number comes secondary.

Faded jean was in vogue at a point in time, but a faded number plate ? Just could not make out the number.

That is not his mother. Though Amma in Tamil directly means Mother, "Amma" is also term used for late Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa. The colour of the text is the colour of AIADMK party flag she led.

Spotted this old Maruti Omni on my way to work today. Never seen this registration series before - can any guru comment on where this car was originally registered?

That should be Karnataka Registered vehicle. "C" was used for Karnataka before "KA".

From the 'W', thinking it should be Dharwad. It is a non-Bangalore RTO I am sure.

TN47U3646.
You will need to go around this one to get his entire number.

A number plate that is black on blue! Needs to be whipped black and blue IMHO!

C = Karnataka (because K was for Kerala)
M = Mysore
W = In Bangalore it was reserved for commercial vehicles, but not sure if it was followed in Mysore too

There's Boo in the number plate :D

How does one know what this number is?

But for the 411, there was hardly anything legible on this number plate. Yes, the picture is not of a high resolution (screen shot from a dashcam video), but then, it wasn't legible to the eye either.

Even I remember how sad and angry i was when changing over from black to white.

I have seen a few JH 13 registered cars and BR 02 registered cars in Ranchi having white/silver font on black plates, looks classy indeed !

Sharing some pics from a facebook page :

The RR Sport, TT & XJ however belong to the same family. But there are many such examples with white/silver font on black plates in Ranchi.

Now, I am Ok that he loves "Amma". However, saying so on the number plate is taking it a bit too far!

Saw a pretty creative one but couldn't take a pic in time!

Tata BOLT -- 8017 (made to look like "BOLT")

Saw this Ignis with a registration from 2004. Have a feeling the number plate maker goofed up and the owner didn't notice.

It's a goof up alright! The registration number should be ND series (which is current). Just one letter out of place. Maybe the number plate maker was obstinate about all cars having M- series. Only the KA03 RTO has already exhausted the M- series and has moved on to N- series, all other RTOs are still issuing M- series.
