2 TBHPians 1 friend and I did this drive in March 2013 in a Punto 90HP.

Started from Bangalore on 14Mar2013 at 5:30 PM and reached Pune at 5:00 AM. Continued to Aurangabad where we had a freshen up+breakfast break at a TBHPian's relative's house. After a 2 hour break we continued to Mhow via Kannad Ghats. After a dinner break at a friend's place in Mhow we carried on to Indore reaching at 11:30 PM on 15Mar2013. Spent two days in Indore and visited Maheshwar.

On the return leg started at 2:00 PM on 17Mar2013 from Indore and traveled West on NH59 - the worst NH I have traveled on with absolutely no roads - via Godhra, Baroda, Thane to reach Bangalore on 18Mar2013 at 11:30 PM. The longest drives I did in a car (indica) was from Hyderabad to Shiridi. It was about 680 km via Tuljapur etc.,. I did this three times so far. I started at 5:00 am in the morning and reached Shirdi at about 7:00 pm

I just did a Folsom, CA to Boston, MA road trip in 5 days covering 3085 miles in my Toyota FJ Cruiser. I had my two kids with me for company.
I took the I-80E all the way to Chicago, IL crossing California, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa and Illinois. From Chicago, I took the I-90E to Boston, crossing Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and Massachusetts.
But, to tell you the truth, this drive didn't even come close in terms of enjoyment to my December 2010 road trip that I did solo from Chandigarh to Kanyakumari and back in 7 days covering almost 6500 kms. Till date, that drive across India holds a special place in my heart and the romance associated with it has only grown.

Longest drive for me is a modest 1134kms in around 18hrs. This was from Ajmer to Panvel in my recent Ladakh trip.

Did this route about a month back in my Alto Lxi. It is the longest I have ever done over 1 week.
Day 1: Bangalore to Trivandrum - 750 km
Day 2: Trivandrum to Nagercoil - 83 km
Day 5: Nagercoil to Chennai - 690 km
Day 6: Chennai to Bangalore - 340 km

A total of about 1860 kilometers. The overall fuel-efficiency was about 18kmpl with the A/C about 75% of the time.

My longest drive has been Bangalore (Whitefield) to Trivandrum home & return -atleast 3-4 times an year - a distance of (728 kms each direction) via Salem-Madurai-Tirunelveli-Nagercoil.

Shortest time taken each way was 11 hours including breakfast and lunch stops apart from fuel stops. Other occasions typically takes 12 to 14 hours, depending on the time I start from Bangalore/ Trivandrum.

Few years earlier used to drive through Salem-Coimbatore-Palghat route.

The longest non stop drive (except for food) was from Ernakulam to Goa- a distance of 785 Kms.
I have done this chore some three or four times.

The longest drive with breaks was the circuitous trip I did as part of holidaying:
Kochi- Ezhimala- kollur- Jog falls- Chikmagalur- Belur- Mysore- Nilambur- Ernakulam
This was around 1400 kms in total

Thanks srag4568. My car is Ritz (Petrol version) and the overall FE was 17-18 kmpl during the trip.

My longest drive was from Hyderabad to Darjeeling & back in Dec last year. It was a 2 weeks trip, covered a distance of 4600 kms (incl of local driving to nearby places). I was the solo driver so it was an awesome experience.

My longest and most often driven route is from Bangalore (Hebbal) to Trivandrum (Ulloor) via salem, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, kovalam bypass. The total distance from my apartment parking to home is 774 Km and best timing so far was 10 hours. On an average, the timing will be around 10.5 to 11 hours . This includes breakfast (usually idly, ghee roast, vada) at Krishna Inn, nicotine recharge at any of the wayside tuck shops and lunch /snack near Kovilpatti. If we feel like having meals then it will be at Ariyaas before the HP petrol pump & CCD and in case If we are not feeling hungry we will have snacks and coffee at the CCD itself. On return from Trivandrum to Bangalore our usual stops are Udupi hotel at Nagercoil for breakfast, lunch at A2B near Thoppur. We travel once in every 2 to 2.5 months if on vacation for a week or more and drive during day only.
