Had the same problem for years on digilocker. But mParivahan to the rescue. You can download it on mParivahan as long as you know your engine/chassis number.

re: Which documents to keep in my car? Original / Photocopy / Digital

I have an issue with my driving license especially in regards to digilocker. My driving license is based in Telangana. I initially took a motorcycle without gear license and then added light motor vehicle and motorcycle with gear classes last year.

Digilocker and m-parivahan still show MCWOG despite refreshing it many times. Only Telangana RTO app shows the updated license.

Is there anyway I can update on digilocker?

Even I have been trying to download the RC of my car which is registered in my company name but I get a message saying name does not match. So I guess DigiLocker pulls data only if the Aadhaar name matches with the registered owner’s name. One alternative is to use mParivahan app to store your digital RC. mParivahan app let’s you verify the details using chasis and engine number.

mParivahan over Digilocker any day for car documents. The interface is much simpler, it's easier to pull documents off the database, and basically you have to procure just your DL and RC. Insurance details and PUCC is integrated into the RC now.

re: Which documents to keep in my car? Original / Photocopy / Digital

I am using mParivahan app for over an year. Recently they have added Insurance and PUC details also. PUC taken from any authorised center will be automatically updated against the RC in mParivahan. User , just need to refresh the RC in the app. Same with Insurance. No need to carry these physical documents anymore. The circular issued by the ministry of road and transport to consider digital documents as valid, is also available to view/download in the app.

I think the concern raised on this by fellow BHP-ians is true in my case too. When I wanted the documents, it didnt show up. More so, if the car I am driving is of my sibling, I cant download its papers on my phone. This in my opinion needs attention from the authorities , else it will be a big hindrance for mass adoption. Imagine chauffeured vehicles, I wont be comfortable to have my driver to carry my Aadhar card details on his smart phone.

I use mParivahan and digilocker. The view issue mentioned in digilocker app is something I have also noticed once in a while. But mParivahan has not had any issue for last 1 year.. mParivahan also has an option to download/refresh RC and License. I just renewed my license Aug 2020 and even before I received my physical copy the mParivahan app showed up with the renewed data!

You can use Mparivahan app, it allows users to download virtual RC and virtual DL by using details of the documents instead of AADHAR.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...vahan&hl=en_IN

Hello all, my license was issued in 2008 and in 2015 or 2016 I transferred it from issuing RTO to the RTO of my hometown. All the formalities and paperwork was done by myself and in due process it was converted to smart card based DL from paper based DL.
Now the problem is that digital copies on both digilocker and Mparivahan show the old address and the old RTO as issuing authority while the physical card shows the address and issuing authority of my hometown and hometown's RTO.
Can it cause any problem and if yes, how can I get it corrected?

I have got this done for my DL, cars and bike on mParivahan. The only thing I am sceptical of is their acceptance by the traffic cops on duty who are known for their attitude and behaviour towards public.

I have similar doubt. Our cars are registered in my name. However my wife does more driving than me. How will she be able to access the car registration details from her digilocker?

If you register your car in mParivahan, there is an option to share your RC. You can share RC with your wife or anyone else (provide her mobile number in app) and it will will appear in her mParivahan app. You can select duration of sharing (1 month/6 months/1year).

re: Which documents to keep in my car? Original / Photocopy / Digital

The High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) should already be linked with Parivahan so that we dont have to carry around original documents anymore. But unfortunately the chip is only linked with the vehicle and its chasis number when issued by Dealer. I have downloaded my DL and RC details of two of my vehicles. But when trying to access them, its still not seemless.

re: Which documents to keep in my car? Original / Photocopy / Digital

I went the mParivahan route since I didn't want to link my Aadhar to another app. Was able to download the info of two cars, a bike, and my DL easily. Even insurance validity is listed correctly. Need to figure out how to get the PUC details to go completely digital. However, I will continue to carry copies of all the documents in the car.

What is the exact issue you are facing? I found the process to be quite seamless.

As mentioned by others in mParivahan app, anyone can download & use if they have the chassis number and Engine number. In 'DigiLocker' your wife can also download it, provided her aadhaar name carries atleast a part of your name in RC; ie.) atleast one (part) of her name should exactly match as mentioned in your RC.

I have pulled RC, Insurance, Tax validity certificate of car registered in my wife's name, in my DigiLocker.
