Anyways what I visited their office and they told me to mail them. This was almost a year back and I sent them a mail attaching my car's front and rear picture, RC photo and the challan photo along with the actual car details of the offended as per the VAHAAN app. They never replied back but the challan is no longer shown in my car's account. So I guess they removed it.

Thanks, can you let me know where to mail?

I have already sent an email to below 2 ids today:
dcptnr-dtp@nic.in
tinbt-dtp@nic.in

I sent it on the above ID. The first time when I received the notice, there was no photographic evidence. When I mailed them that my car was not present at the said location and time, they mailed back saying this:

Quote:

Sir,
It is submitted that the Notice number xxxxx issued for traffic violation of “( Over Speed )” of vehicle No.xxxxx is to inform you that the above said vehicle is registered on your name. Upon verification of records from the traffic police & computer records, the reason for not committing traffic violation mentioned in the notice has not been found convincing. The notice has therefore been sent correctly. A photo captured by interceptor of violating vehicle is attached herewith.
When I saw the photo attached, then I figured out their error and mailed them back with all of the above evidence.

Hi,
To the best of my knowledge, COURT meand that the time to pay the fine online has elapsed and one has to pay the fine in the traffic court or RTO or wherever DTP have such a facility. Maybe in the traffic adalat also.

Hence, it is advisable to keep within 50-55 kmph in Delhi (keep some error of calibration there), stop at every RED light, irrespective of straight, left, etc. Never cross the stop line and look out for cameras not only on the bars mounted above the road, these days DTP have vehicle and even portable speed guns mounted just anywhere (They look like the olden day cameras with tripod or the surveyor guys equipment). If you spot one while speeding by, you know what to expect in about 15 days !

I am also getting the same court option even though I have already paid the fine and have a copy of receipt for the same saved with me.

I am noticing another issue on the website, earlier we could simply enter the vehicle number and login, but now it asks for OTP. I was able to successful update my mobile number and login to see details of one of my 3 cars. For the other two cars I have tried using the same as well as different mobile, it says that the number is updated successfully and I can now login via OTP, but then I enter the car number, it again says the mobile number needs to be updated. I have tried doing this on different computers as well but I am just not able to do it successfully for the other 2 cars.

I Could not agree more.
Totally random, I got a series of 9-10 smses in the middle of the night saying the same thing. Went online and found multiple challans, mostly on the same day on the same spot! more than half have missing proofs and the ubiquitous "pending in court" message.

Now all my challans due to improper parking has disappeared suddenly from Delhi traffic police website :Shockked:
I don't know what is going with traffic police.

Has anyone seen this?

I'm unable to check my notices for almost 7-8 months now.

It says mobile number not valid, and then pops a screen to update mobile number by verifying Chassis and Engine Nos., which I do and then it says proceed to OTP verification.

Nothing ever happens after this. I've repeated this process 50 times with different browsers and phone numbers, but nothing.

Try doing the process around 00:30 hours, for me this usually works or do it early in the morning like around 07:00 hours.

Ok, so I tried changing mobile number for another car and it worked. Seems like there is an issue with one particular car number. I have written an email to them, lets see.

In that process, I also checked for the other car and same as others. 6-8 month old challans are suddenly now appearing and directly as pending in court. I can confirm they were no here 30 days back, when I last checked.

EDIT: I think - they are just going back and updating everything because the government is going bankrupt and this system was always put to earn money. It was systematic:

1) Reduce speed limits
2) Put cams at specific locations where crossing 50kmph is likely because the roads are wide and open without traffic.

This is related: People across the city appear to have received incorrect challans.

Taj Hassan, special commissioner (traffic), said, “It is impossible for the system to make such errors. We request people to mail us their grievances and we will resolve them. Since the speed detection cameras were introduced, everything is automated with zero human intervention.” An inquiry has been started into the complaints.

Anyone able to figure out how to pay the challan in a virtual court yet? The traffic police helpline numbers are busy and emails remain unanswered.

On the virtual court website, my mobile number and the notice number are not recognised.

Same here. No response to emails, neither their e-court website is in sync.

Please do let me know if you are able to figure out some way.

I checked the DTP website today and found the old challan (which was paid) has been removed and for one of the pending one, the status reads as "To be sent to virtual court for adjudication". When I go to the virtual court website (http://vcourts.gov.in/virtualcourt/main.php), there is no notice against my car's registration number or actual notice number. Mobile number is also not recognised.

I think they will take their own sweet time to send this challan to virtual court.

Need help on e-challan ambiguity - Delhi Traffic Police-challan.jpg

'Verify' link doesn't works.

My Ecosport has been issued with an over-speeding challan. The car is driven by my father who usually drives at 40-50 kmph always. The image shown by the traffic police is incompatible with the shown speed violation of 103 kmph.

From the picture you can clearly see that my car is keeping safe distance from an i10 ahead of it which is further trailing a public carrier three-wheeler. Its a 2 lane road with traffic on both sides and under no circumstance can a car like Ecosport be doing 103 kmph as shown in this pic. It is clearly a fault of the camera. Any tips on how to approach this?

A fine of Rs. 2000 is not small and I don't want to pay for their error.

Update from my end:

My uncle had received an SMS informing him of a challan against his name.

Offense Date = Mid March
Challan & SMS Intimation = Mid June
Visible on VCourt website = Sometime between Aug 15 and Sep 1
Date of payment = Today, 4th Sep (after multiple attempts and payment gate failures day before yesterday)

Now, when we checked the Delhi Police website, he had a total of 4 challans pending against his name. He received an SMS intimation only for one of them which was subsequently paid as mentioned above. The other 3 are still in the "To be sent to Virtual Court" status. My guess is that once the court decides, he will get the SMS and the above cycle will repeat.
2 of his challans are for overspeeding and 2 for red light jumping. It will be interesting to see if there is any compounding for repeat offenses.

Both my challans are also in the "To be sent to Virtual Court" status. One of them moved to this stage recently from a simple "Virtual Court" status. But I am slightly relieved knowing that it is the system which is slow, and there is nothing pending at our end it seems. There is a huge lag in the challan reflection on the delhi police website and it's adjudication in the court.
