A shot of the can is there somewhere in this thread.

I forgot the brand but I get your point. Do these have fizz too? I certainly want to try, somewhat want to find an alternative to my thumps up addiction. Please don't laugh.

Yep, fizzy like beer.
And I get the thums up addiction part. 0 beers are only the ones that are denatured. That's why they taste the same. The rest are essentially malt beverages, and you may just as well pick up a can of thumsup in their place.

Re: Zero-Alcohol Beer: Your best friend if you are driving back your friends from a party

This thread interests me because I quit smoking in March 2019 and drinks have been rare ever since. But while I don't miss Alcohol, I do miss being able to socialize with friends/colleagues over drinks. Drinks that won't make a joke out of me.

Bought it from Grofers. But it was Made in China #BuzzKill.

It has a distinct sweet and orangy taste. Somewhat different from regular beer initially but then it is not much perceptible later. Sugar is a reasonable 3.7gm/100ml (For comparison sake, Pepsi has 10.9gm and Coke has 11gm for every 100 ml). I have no idea how much sugar regular beer has, it has never tasted sweet to me so I assume there is little to none. That's the way I like it.

I can taste the sweetness of even milk straight out of the packet so I can trust my tastebuds to give me the right information.

Even though Hoegaarden tasted similar to regular beer, it was different. That is not what I want. I want it as close as possible to the real Tuborg / Budweiser which it was not.

Will try the Heineken from Amazon. Are Tuborg or Budweiser available in the 0.0 configuration?

Tried this Hoegaarden 0 and it is easily the best of the lot. For all wheat beer fans, this is a must try. (Ignore the Heineken glass pls).

Here you go.
I'd rather have my whey after a workout, and a Heineken 0 in the evening. Will give this a try, though, but the amount of protein will, I'm sure, give it some unpalatable body (punintended).

Hmm. So 8 grams of sugar is not helpful at all. I was considering this over a coke zero. I think the sugar counter punches the protein in this drink. No point dumping that much sugar in your body, especially in the evening.

This is actually not a post workout drink in my head. Its more a zero calorie replacer or an alcohol replacer in the evenings and then you get your share of protein as well, if into muscle building. That's their market.

But the sugar kills it.

How much sugar in that Heineken 0? If the sugar is similar, i would replace it with this and go in. If it were me, i would drop that H 0 off my palate as well.

Just over 4 grams, or a teaspoon.

There's this business called May and Co.
They have a fantastic tonic syrup, spiced. It's a fantastic one to nurse, if you want. Critically bitter, add a few spoonfuls to a glass of soda. It's my go-to right now, with catch clear flavored soda. Do give that a shot too.

Has anyone tried Sober Gin?

Zero alcohol, tastes like gin, and 5 calories per serving. Seems too good to be true.

Our gin alternative has only 5 calories, zero alcohol and zero carbs. Also, there’s no gluten or allergens that could cause health problems. In fact, it’s supposed to keep you in good shape and boost immunity. It's non-alcoholic, remember?
Their full list of ingredients on the shop page also seems good. Nature identical flavours is probably the only red flag - i have no idea what these artificial flavours they use.

Thanks a ton! Ordering a bottle right away. I hope it tastes like the real thing, as zero-alcohol beers have a rather convincing taste.

Someone should really come out with a zero-alcohol whisky.

Let me know how it tastes. I couldn't find any reviews per se online. Waiting to pull the trigger myself.

A noob question came to mind. Does this have to be mixed/diluted with tonic water or taken "neat"?

You can use this gin alternative exactly like how you would use the original thing.
