Re: Out-of-control Ford Mustang crashes into my Duke 390

Hi Santosh,
I'm glad you got out of this incident alive and going by your posts, I take it that you have recovered well to ride a motorcycle again although you have trouble on certain days. (Don't mean to sound insensitive, please correct me if I'm wrong)

My question#1 to you is- why did this suddenly come up nearly 2 years after the accident? I really hope there was no pressure on you to keep silent.

My question#2 to all the legal experts is- even if the car is owned by a company, can't the senior-most manager be held accountable for the incident? With enough pressure, that man might talk and tell us the owner of the company. If not, he spends his share of time behind bars. Even if we don't know the actual owner, we do know somebody ought to be a scapegoat for this incident?

Exactly, for a prized car like a Mustang, you would jolly well remember who was driving it.

Re: Out-of-control Ford Mustang crashes into my Duke 390

The money for the Mustang was forked out by Kotak Mahindra Prime so the details of the owner, his address etc will be available with them - should be possible to get those details if someone has connections into Kotak.

As expected the car seems to be registered under an untraceable company name. Here are the complete details:
Attachment 1897781

The politician might be traced if we can get some information about "P and P agencies " but have found nothing credible till now atleast.
I think there should be a way to register a car in someone's name rather than of a business until the vehicle is a commercialised one. In that way at least it would be easier to trace. But we all know no matter what we want as people of the country the goverment decides everything here. Power and Money Power and Muscle Power control almost everything.

Really sorry to hear about your condition and saddened to see the condition of your beloved bike.

That looks scary; I am glad that you came out of it & back on your 2 wheels.

I pray & wish all the physical & mental scars also go off quickly.

Really saddened on the way the entire episode panned out; I think more than "ease of doing business" index, our country should measure & focus on indexes like trust, honesty, empathy.

Look like 'being human' is catchphrase of uber rich who have chronic tendency of road rages, lawlessness and entitled immunity from justice. Sorry for being OT, couldn't resist.

Santosh, please name and shame this politician. Considering the current political atmosphere here in Karnataka, it is sure to get some airtime - regardless of whatever party he/she belongs to.

Re: Out-of-control Ford Mustang crashes into my Duke 390

Ok, so I did not expect this kind of an overwhelming response to the incident. I have been on TBHP for quite some time, very passive, just reading on the articles of interest. Thats when this article of ford mustang crash came by and the famous spidey quote. It just rekindled my memories. This was the reason I quoted back on the same quote. No political motivation, be assured. I do not know the people who did it. Even my friend was told by the so called Law that they do not wish to loose their job lest they give out the name.

If I really speak out the incidents post this accident about the corrupt law, I might see many of you getting treated for High BP

Well FIR has - Driver not traceable. I was forced to file insurance claim on the car, again by the law and again for monetary gains. I was dragged in the court in front of the judge and lost multiple work days. The judge showed absolutely no compassion. Seeing the pathetic state of my advocate, I had to argue up with the insurance advocate. I finally went in for an out of court settlement - a paltry sum of which in excess of 30% was taken by advocates (again here is saw corruption to the core) and ended up getting a 5 digit amount.

Lots of posts wishing me to get back. Sorry am unable to reply to each one and a big Thankyou for the same.

Sigh! So depressing to read, but thanks for posting, it is good to know the reality about one's chances of getting justice in our country. "Victim is victimized and perpetrator protected." They should carve that on our buildings.

I think you have handled this thing in the best way you could, under the circumstances. Bravo to you for not losing your mind when faced with the realities of this rotten system! Put it behind you and enjoy the rest of your biking days!

If only it was a cow in your place justice would have been served, but sadly that's not the case. It was a bad nightmare, i hope you get over it soon and continue to enjoy your life. But still it angers me to think that a rich person can do anything with us anyday and get away with it.
