I initially attempted online registration through ICICI, however it was cumbersome. More importantly it did not list my vehicle name(XUV) in the drop down, though it had a very big list of Mahindra Products, XUV was missing.

So I left that approach mid way & sent an SMS to a help desk number mentioned in their website, got an automated reply that their executive will reach out sooner but they never did .

I created my account through Equitas portal.

Comparing all this Equitas experience was very smooth. Hope it continues.

Update:

Order was placed on Sept 11th
Documents uploaded on Sept 12th

I now have a fastag wallet with 150rs in it, and I can see my car registration number in the 'manage fasttag' option. The fasttag status is "issued"

The order is still in processing, so I am guessing it is not shipped out yet.

Asked the toll booth near naguneri if they have fastag working ans he replied No. I assumed that much because fastag lane was a parking lane for bikes.

This is my first post on Team-BHP.

I had placed an order for Fastag through HDFC Bank. Got a call from them after 4-5 days explaining about the details(relevant documents) for processing the application. Also, I made an online transfer for the amount of Rs.300/-.

Later, I have sent the scanned copies of all documents via email, and they have sent the Fastag to my address. The status of the tag is now “Activated” with an available balance of Rs.100/-.

I am yet to check whether the tag is working or not, only on my forthcoming trip to my native during “Pooja” holidays. Will keep you updated. Overall, satisfied with the process of obtaining Fastag from HDFC Bank.

Appears to be working. Car is on a trip to UP via NH2 and seems to have passed through the tolls fine. But I am not getting any sms about deductions. Checked the online portal and there too, no transactions except the initial 2 recharges.

It includes the security deposit amount of Rs.200/-. And the remaining amount of Rs.100/- is the current available balance.

Yes, there is no separate joining fee. I just paid Rs.300/- and the tag got activated with an available balance of Rs.100/-.

Paytm takes some time to deliver. I had ordered Fastag on 5th. I got delivery today (16th).

My Paytm app Fastag wallet is giving some error now.

I called their call centre. Agent was not well trained. It was a pain to explain him. I tried for some time. However, gave up after around 15 min. I would wait for a day. If it is not resolved till then, I would try my luck again with their call centre.

Earlier also, I had called their call centre after uploading my RC book copy. I got some weird and irrelevant response from the agent. I decided to simply wait till the expected delivery date shown in the app.

I hope I have not made a mistake by going with Paytm.

Even I ordered through Paytm, on 9 Sept. Order details says arrival by 23 September. But I get the error while trying to access manage tags.
