Not truly road rage. I hate bikers who squeeze ahead when I'm in queue for filling air. Does having 2 less wheels give them more right? Have honked at them couple of times but nothing more than that.

I sneak up quietly behind them.. No honking, nothing. Just as stealthily as possible and follow them keeping enough distance. They get so embarrassed that they usually give way soon enough.

Well, I didn't say that only bikers do that. But I hope you will agree that a biker is more likely to do that!

As far as the bikers are concerned, if anybody cuts across my car or in front of traffic, I feel irritated and pity them. Sometimes, I wonder why people do like this? Is this just due to adrenaline rush for that moment or for shear passion for driving or frustated with the traffic.

Yesterday, I was driving through the bumper-to-bumper traffic in Banaswadi market. For a second, I lost my concentration and touched an auto in front.
The auto driver got down, looked at his vehicle and started shouting. I gestured him to move and park on the side sice traffic was mounting.
But when he moved, I drove ahead without stopping. I was watching the RVMs but he didn't follow me / or maybe he couldn't catch me.
Later I inspected my car and the front bumper has got a crack.
Though there was no visible damage to the auto, I am feeling guilty for what I did. But I didn't want complications on a busy road as family was also in the car.

@Nathan - this is no way a road rage & you needn't feel guilty on it; just keep moving. Be little cautious & pray that the auto guy didn't notice your car regn no. Even if he did, be prepared, in case he files an FIR, for the unnecessary headache. Though things can be handled with help of lawyer easily, it becomes unnecessary headache. Usually these guys don't bother to file FIR, but just be prepared for the worst & it may not happen at all.

I believe Honking to get ahead of a person driving a bike/Car at 20 in a 60+ zone is not road rage and i do it often.
I hate people who drive in their own world without caring about people around them.

ch.nathan. That's bad from your side. You motioned him to pull to the side so that you can talk to him. Instead you hoodwink and flee. Guess, you are right in feeling guilty.
A friend had her car rear ended by a affluential gujarati doctor. He assured her that he'd pay and asked her not to file an FIR as the police would confiscate his qualis and he'd be impacted and all that.
She thought he was a perfect gentleman and agreed to settle the dispute outside court as he assured to pay for all the damages.
When she called him on his number regarding the amount for damages, first he didn't pick up the calls. Later he threatened her that he'll file a case against her for harassing him. Friend has now filed an FIR and knows that there's going to be no use.
She ended up coughing up huge amount in excess of 60 - 70K for the repairs.
So much for a person who offered to pay for damages only to cheat and run away.

Coming to you, ofcourse you'd have moved trying to avoid an altercation. But then, I won't be surprised if the Auto driver cursed you from the bottom of his heart for cheating him this way.

Anyway, he won't go for FIRs. So only thing now is to put this behind and go ahead. Your guilt shows that it wasn't a premeditated move.

The only thing the Doctor has done wrong here is rear-ending your friend's car. Paying for the repairs is just ethics, but law doesn't state you got to pay.

So legally, the Doc did what he had to do. On an accident, you can't demand repair from the other party. You got to file a case and claim insurance, rest has to be coughed off from your pocket ofcourse.
