Aero India 2011 - Airshow in Bangalore

I am posting few take off and landing images as our business class reported not having any. I have more, but limiting to 10 images for the time being. Hope nothing is a repeat here. It was almost like I was sitting on the runway most of the time, had to move back many times because with my 140-400 I was getting only tail or nose at many angles.

Do you process your pics that way?? They look as if taken with film camera!! Also I see chromatic aberration(or white balance issues??) with your pics but still I must say that the pics are sharp!!

any idea if we can buy tickets at the venue,planning to go tomorrow for the air show with my kid at 9am in the morning.i tried online but it is not going through.any idea where i can buy ticket for 1000/- stand and the parking .

Suryakiran team was simply brilliant

, wouldn't mind going again just to watch them.

I did not get your question. All of them are processed from RAW to JPEG, color correction is done too. I mostly take open sky shots underexposed, so I edit them closer to what I really saw, but on the PC. If you find the quality missing, its only because I used a 2 X teleconverter, which will spoil the quality on any lens.

Dilip, superb as usual, can not expect anything inferior from your cam anyway. Did you use a 150-500 for those close-up shots ?

Anyone meeting the Gripen Guys may want to see them go red in their face by asking What went wrong with the bird at Leh Airfield?! Neat pictures guys,,, way to go!!
The MiG 35 is a super strong contender for the IAF but spares issues have always troubled the Russians.
