Re: The Cricket World Cup 2011 thread

SL "CHUCK" their way into ICC WC.
Way to go.

NZ simply did not have good enough bowlers to "OUT CHUCK" SL.

Man this is not a fair world.

Whoever faces them has my blessings. Someone teach these "chuckers" not to insult cricket anymore.

Re: The Cricket World Cup 2011 thread

It would not be incorrect to say that SL did not win but NZ did loose. Lets hope this edition does not go the 1996 way.

Re: The Cricket World Cup 2011 thread

Once again it has been shown that it is absolutely criminal in ODIs to not complete fifty overs when batting first.

+ the firecrackers were 'official' ones...
I think they wanted to finish their quota in the 'Semis' only...

Anyway, one more defeat in the 'Semis' for NZ...
Better luck next time, but when?????

Good night to all the Indians, have a peaceful sleep tonight..
Rest for the BEST out of tomorrow...

Shucks man! Felt bad for NZ. Sorry Vettori, better luck next time, and boy how many times ? So its IND vs SL we are looking at in Mumbai. Man I don't want it to be like the 1996 Semi final at Eden gardens.

Don't know how true it is, but people are saying there's heavy rain in Mohali!

Re: The Cricket World Cup 2011 thread

Currently weather.com shows thunder-storms in Mohali but tomorrow is Sunny. If the match is washed out, Pakistan go to finals as they were at higher rating in their group.

Re: The Cricket World Cup 2011 thread

If rain somehow abandon the match then what would happen? I mean how they will declare a winner. I remember in past there were spare days for such cases.

They haven't kept any reserve days even for semis . If there is no possibility of play tomorrow, Pakistan go through to finals because they were ranked higher in their group.
