Re: The Cricket World Cup 2011 thread

Australia and South Africa are out of the World Cup. In the beginning of the tournament, they were the favourites, apart from Sri Lanka and India. How the tables have turned.

Now we'll have to see if Sri Lanka would prove to be the better team tomorrow, or if England hold their nerve in this crunch match. If that's the case, we would then have three teams that we would've never guessed, in the Semis!

This is absolutely mouth-watering!

Anyway, doesn't matter now that SA choked big time again.

I have an uncanny feeling that we'll be meeting England in the finals.

I hope they do well tomorrow. This tournament would have been extremely dull if it weren't for England! Most of their matches have been exciting & have gone right down to the wire. I don't think Andrew Strauss has any fingernails left.

+1. Looking at the way the things have turned, MSD's team may win this world cup. But is there another twist in the tale?

Let all the twist be reserved only for tomorrow's match and the 1st semifinal.
As things are panning...Looks like we will be the champions after 28 years.

Woww, South Africans are really consistent. Never seen any other team who can be so consistent with their tag, i.e. Chokers. They should've won this match and they managed to throw it away. Well done.

Re: The Cricket World Cup 2011 thread

I still can't believe SA choked again. 108/2 to 172 all out, there is no other word for it. Sad. Was hoping to see a SA v India final, guess that won't be happening anytime soon.

A great team effort, yeah correction.

Look at the team man, half of them are past their prime but give everything they can when required.

India - England final.

India get to avenge the defeat of the 1987 semi-final with Sachin getting his 100th century.

Re: The Cricket World Cup 2011 thread

IMO playing with 5 specialist bowlers was SA's biggest mistake.
If Sri Lanka wins today, they will be in the finals. If England wins, Eng. v/s NZ will be an interesting match.

Whatever it is, I feel this time its India
