Can you share the correct HDFC credit card office address in Chennai? There are multiple ones showing in google.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

This is the address I used. Its from hdfcbank.com

If you are unaware of the offers regarding your Credit Card upgrade, you can call HDFC Bank's customer care service. You can ask for all the offers available on your Credit Card and raise a request for an upgrade or enhancement of limit. You can also write to the bank and request an upgrade of your Credit Card. Download the 'Credit Card Upgrade/ Limit Enhancement Form', fill it up and email it to HDFC Bank. Along with your application, attach copies of your income proof. The application can either be dropped in any of the HDFC Bank dropboxes in ATMs or emailed to HDFC Bank Cards Division, PO BOX Number 8654, Thiruvanmiyur P.O. Chennai-600041.

Once again, HDFC Bank has proven to be the worst of the lot. Due to this, I recently cancelled my credit card that I had held for 20 years.

What have you chosen in it's place? What made you choose that?

Lately, most of my spending has been online, so I got an SBI Cashback Card. It provides a decent cashback on online and offline purchases.

I really want to know which of the T&Cs changes is really affecting retail spends. Those T&C changes are to reduce misuse of Credit Limits.

Honestly, those changes would have zero impact on 95+% of Genuine users.

HDFC Cards have been one of the highest rewarding cards for a long time. If you want to maximize Credit Card benefits, it is impossible to ignore HDFC in the long run.

Tech issues with Amex

Twice yesterday, I mistakenly entered the CSC of the Amex GC card while the card number and expiry were of the plat travel card, and both times the transaction went through. Shockingly, amex support said that as long as the OTP is right, the CSC wont matter. It is only after I asked if the CSC is interchangeable did they take up the complaint.

I tried the same flow with Visa just now, their systems appear to be more intact as it rightly rejected the transaction.

Instead of asking for Infinia, try to get higher credit limit on your existing card. Then you will be automatically be eligible for Infinia.

If none of that is working and you truly meet the requirements then try the following:

* email to imperia support email
* escalate to "PriorityRedressal.CreditCards@hdfcbank.com"
* escalate to greiveance redressal
* escalate to level 1/2 escalation
* escalate to nodal officer

Keep your RM in cc at all times, he/she will face the pressure and help you get this done.

Ofcourse only do this if you actually fit the criteria.
Another testament to how Team-BHP works and helps in all aspects of life. Not just with our cars.
It has helped me with my weightloss journey, travel and adventure, investments in mutual funds, got me started on credit card rewards.

So, I was eligible by all criteria for an Imperia. But my RM was not helpful at all, as I generally deny their ULIP product sales. I had sent a request personally, but that was denied and they didnt even ask for any proof from my side. Just let it be and continued to use my Regalia, made up my mind that Infinia was not for me.

But followed some steps from the thread here. HDFC CC redressal got back asking for my payslips and ITR. And next couple of days, my Infinia was approved. Thanks team-bhp.
And within a few days of advice on how to get upgraded to Infinia, my Inifinia card has arrived. Thanks to all the Team-BHPians who gave excellent pointers.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

I am pretty new to the world of credit cards. Recently started using Swiggy HDFC Credit card, and it's giving me some good benefits.

I was thinking of going for one of those credit cards specifically for fuel. My monthly fuel expenses range between 9-12 K. Any good recommendations? I have HPCL and BPCL just under 1.2 KM from my place. 80% of my refuel happens from either of these.

Any consideration points while choosing the right fuel credit card?

Go for the SBI BPCL Octane card (1499+GST or 499+GST) one. I have used the Bank of Baroda HPCL and HDFC Indian Oil credit cards. However separate Apps have to be installed for accruing the reward points (HP Pay and Indian Oil One). Many of the pump attendants aren't aware of crediting the points/billing through that. For the SBI BPCL card, there is nothing of that sort and reward points are credited directly on swiping the card.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

I didn't even know that we've a credit card thread in team bhp, it's a pleasant surprise for me. I recently closed couple of my cards and moved to Infinia metal card. I've couple of questions, as I'm a new user for this card. Any longterm user, please help me with your inputs.

1. In the first billing cycle, I wasn't charged any joining fees or yearly fees. Also, I got zero reward points. I was under impression that I will get charged with fees and I also get starting reward points, which can compensate. Am I wrong here? Did I get lifetime free card?
2. What is the best way to pay LIC bills with this card? Should I use this card directly on LIC portal or buy gift cards on gyftr and pay on amazon?
3. Can any long term user of this card share their experience on how they are taking full advantage of this card?
4. I also got priority pass card along with it, can I use that for my family while I'm in airport?
5. How is customer support for this card users?
6. One of my colleagues told me that they get 30% off on swiggy dineout. But I donot see such option in my swiggy app.

Thank you very much.

I can answer this one as I have frequently used priority pass. Only the primary card holder can use it at airport lounge. If you want to take your family members, you will have to pay the applicable lounge charges. I am not sure about add-on card holder, whether they get a separate priority pass card or they are included in the same card.

Also note that priority pass can only be used at airport lounges outside India. Priority pass will not work at lounges at Indian airports (both at domestic and international terminals). I use my HDFC regalia gold which has, IIRC, 12 complimentary lounge access within India.

I guess this should be true for Infinia as well.
