Misbah was either stupid or paid off to hit a risky shot while needing 6 in 4 *****. He should have done it on ground, but he did us a real favour.

With Pak needing 6 runs to win in final over, I could not get updates either from Cricinfo. But then I heard crackers and I knew India had won. The cricket-crazy subcontinent has had its fill and there will be a mad rush for future 20/20 games. ICC and various cricktet boards will be very happy that India won, for that guarantees the success of the 20/20 format. Our cricketers will be demi-gods again (at least for a while). Personally I am not over-enthusiastic about this format, though. I am old-fashioned and want to see a hard, genuine contest between bat and ball as in Test cricket.

Chak De, INDIA!

World Champions - now THAT's what you call on top of the world.

I dont care what anyone says, but we've found a wonderful CAPTAIN.

VANDE MAATHARAM! Now I'm off to get drunk and go around town honking the horn and waving the flag here in Dubai!

Don't you think it was one of the most foolish stroke (last one) from them?

I agree sir.The pressure got to them for sure, That last stroke was definetly not necessary when 4 deliveries were still left to score. But none the less the have come a long way in the tournament and played well.
