The media memory is short-lived, especially in case of the Aussie media. Let them fret over it. They are getting a taste of their own medicine, the problem is they can't take it . The so-called 'mental disintegration' has not worked and the Delhi lad has gone from good to great and taught the Aussies a lesson in batting.

I think Gambhir is a goner for the next match. If he is VERY lucky, he might escape with a 100% match fees fine, but I fear the worst.

..and expect some fireworks between BCCI \ ICC \ CA if Watson and Katich go scot free.
But as of now,I will be really really surprised if Katich gets punished.Sometimes,I think Gavaskar is correct about his comments on Match referee's attitude to Asian players

. The Indian team is haunted by ICC for these kind of activities. They may fine the whole match fees to Ghambir and the Katich will escape with minor fine or still the worst, they may ask Gambhir to sit out for next 2 matches. This will help aussies in the next match. ICC will do whatever possible to help out aussies to draw this series.

Whatever it is, the receiving side will be Indian team again.

Guys, Katich has already been spared, so that chapter is closed. Gambhir and Watson have been charged with level II and I offences resp. Since this is Gambhir's second similar offence, I think he might be asked to sit out in the next match.

Do you guys think that his shouldering was correct ? Or was it just croosing the line ?

Edit: Ponting bowling now. Now, thats what is called desparation

Well what was the alternative? Take the Aussie crap & stand there like a saint? I say give it back to them, they don't like being given the same treatment they gave to others for years, so all the better for it!

I completely agree. He did give it back, in words and with that six. But I think he made a mistake with that elbow. Only because he won't be able to escape.

In which case, chance for Laxman to heap more misery on the Aussies with a double hundred

Fast approaching that milestone. He is now 177. But, I guess he has already silenced the critics, hasn't he!
