Ideal Location to Start a Body repair & service center in Bangalore

Hi all BHPians,

Posting this on behalf of my friend, Mods Please move to appropriate section if needed, My friend is planning to start a boby repair and service center in bangalore, with state of art facility, he wanted to know which is the ideal location and who eles can advice on this than bangalore BHPians.

State of the art facility? Then, he must need a whole lot of real estate. And from what I hear, Bangalore land is pricey. Suggestion:

1. Location is irrelevant if you offer free pickup / drop off. Why doesn't your friend put his place up wherever rent is cheap (say, suburbs or outskirts), save a tidy packet...and then use a small part of the $$$ saved to hire drivers (for the free pickup / drop off).

2. A USP that he might want to consider : Evening / Night Service centers

Lots of advice in this thread on setting up a car workshop.

I would suggest a location which is near any of the IT areas like electronics city, ITPL or some other tech parks.

Most of these IT areas are towards the edge of the city, where real estate is still available.

There are thousands of people working in these IT companies, who would like to get their cars serviced near to their workplace.

Another suggestion. Consider getting some real estate in one of the malls - like the car detailing guys in the forum mall's parking lot.

Use this location as a place where customers can drop (and pick up) their cars for service and then have your own people drive it to your service center. Who knows, the concept might take off.

Gotigere: South Bangalore.
NICE road for a test drive after the repairs.

Yeshwantpur.

These options considering the price of real estate and the
state of the art setup. Believe you me dude, if your
friend is giving an excellent service people will be ready to
throw money. Also you can do a pick up and drop service
from Office/Home to the facility.
