@raj - This is most likely the BBMP office near Ulsoor Lake.
Take old madras road, turn right onto Kensington road at the signal after RMZ Millenia building. The road will curve to left near the MEG campus. Just after that curve on right side you will see this BBMP office next to the Corporation Community Hall. Make a U-turn after going a little ahead.

EDIT:oops, just saw another post that you already got the certificate!

Hey,
We have a new addition to the family, and need to get the birth certificate from the BBMP office. Do you remember the documents you carried to the BBMP office? Also how long after the birth of your child did you go to the BBMP office to get the birht certificate?
Thanks, Shikhar

Congratulations !!

Typically the hospital arranges for the birth certificate. they make you fill a form, if you have chosen the name already it is a simple process. But most likely we take time in deciding.

In my case, they gave me a birth certificate with name as blank. What this means is that the birth has been registered and the baby has been assigned a record. Only thing pending is updating the name. I got this birth certificate from the hospital after 2 months or so !! And i was told that i have around 6 months time from date of birth to decide on name

I just took this certificate and he asked me to submit a letter on plain paper requesting record update and within 15 mins, i got 2 copies of updated birth certificate. I dont remember he asking any documents. Though i carried simple things like my address proof, photo id etc just in case. Depending on which hospital the baby got delivered you will have to visit the registration office. You can get most of the details from hospital front desk itself. Hope this helps

I had my baby in Feb 2014 in cloud nine old airport road. Got a BBMP birth certificate from the hospital without the baby name. Now i want to add the baby's name on the birth certificate. In my case one year is already over since the birth of the baby. As per one of my friend, beyond one year one has to go the Upprapet BBMP office to get the name added. He got it done in 2012. I was wondering if this is still true ?

Beyond one year does one have to go to the Upprapet BBMP office to get the name added to the birth certificate? Or may be now one can get it done at Bangalore One or some other office ?

Hmmm. You can check in Ulsoor BBMP office about the same. From what i know Cloud9 told me that I have around 6 months to update the birth certificate. But as i understand its a digital record with a unique number which you should be having, you should be edit it at any later point as well. But please do not delay and check at the BBMP registration office at ulsoor for guidance.

Re: Correction in mother's name in Birth certificate

HI.

I am on the same dilemma.
The birth certificate of my 3 year son mentions my wife's name with a small mistake.

Now am stuck as I need to get the same rectified.
If someone could help, would be great.

My Daughter was born on Nov 6th '13.
Went to the office, filled the two forms, and only during submission did the officer tell me that if I want the name to be there, then I need to go to the BBMP office near Upparpet Police station in Majestic as the year was changed, and as per him, his "system was locked" to register my baby's birth. Didn't pay anything for the Forms.
Hi

Did anybody get name added on birth certificate this year for babies born last year? My daughter was born on 7th December, I have a birth certificate that does not have the name. Now I am planning to get the name added.

My hospital falls under BBMP Bomannahalli, but do I need to go to the one near Upparpet?

Thanks

Check with your Hospital and they should be able to tell you which BBMP office you need to visit. You just need to fill a form and submit the certificate which does not have the name and within a couple of days the work will be done.

Am not sure but I think you have to get this done at the BBMP office at Ulsoor Lake. Please carry photo identity proof of the parents along with the old birth certificate for inclusion of the baby name.

I am about to do it for my son in Gurgaon. My son was born on 24 January 2017. In Gurgaon, you have to attend the Municipal Office along with an affidavit by one of the parents, duly notarised. The affidavit should state basic details like name of parents, date of birth of child and name. The affidavit along with Aadhar cards of parents and child will have to be submitted.

Re: Birth Certificate Help

Is there a provision to apply for birth certificate online? Did anything change since covid? If anyone has any experience from MH/Pune, please share.

My daughter was born in Oct and I was told to use the offline channel only. At least here in Mumbai, the hospital would have taken your signature on birth form post delivery and send particulars to the BMC ward office. You then have to visit them after two weeks - fill up a form, enter the name in their register, submit your KYC, sign and note the serial number. The ward health officer validates data and after 10 days you can get the birth certificates (digitally signed) from their front office counter.

In my case it did benefit doing if offline as there was a mistake in the parent name entered by the hospital and I noticed this when I saw the system at the BMC office. It took 2 more weeks for the hospital to get the data entry corrected.

Stay safe and consider delaying the visit till situation is better in case you are unable to do it online. In any case I would assume the health officer would be terribly busy in this period.
