You are right on the count of yellow cards (source).

Wouldn't you would agree with the spirit of the comment?

Strange thing was that the Germans did not at all try to intimidate the more diminutive Spanish, no physicality from either side, no rash challenges (bet Van Bommel won't be so generous). Feel the Germans missed a trick there. They don't have the wherewithal yet to outplay the Spanish in a purely footballing contest, the Spanish are technically far superior.
Quoting myself...again. It was a really clean game, and the Germans were outplayed. If it is a clean game, the Dutch will be outplayed. It is a matter of tactics, and Van Bommel, and De Jong will implement Marjwiks tactics to the T. They need to disrupt Spain's play in order to have a chance, and this is one way to do it. Nothing wrong with it. Just another way to play the game. Not everybody can compete at the same technical level, but all teams play to win, so the different tactics.

Amazing, that the creature is still around to influence minds. I read somewhere that it successfully 'predicts' only the German matches. Is this the first time it is predicting a non-German match?

Hopefully, Dutch are not influenced by these. All we want is a good game of football.

At this rate of prediction, there might be real threat to the life of the octopus. Not from Germans, but from betting mafia.

Well said. But that alone doesnt guarantee a good match. The Dutch should play a more postive clean game. Lets hope for a good game

Not even the curse/spell of baba Paul could save Germany against the rampaging Spaniards in Euro 2008 finals. I reckon this past experience made him choose Spain over a German team that had just beaten England and Argentina. Yes, its the first time he is made to predict a match that does not involve Germany.

Uruguay Uruguay Uruguay Uruguay Uruguay
I hope you thrash the Germans tonight.

Why.
Because in their last matches, Germans had lost it from the start itself while Uruguay did not give up till the very end.

Though they lost to the Germans but they did not give up again till the last second. What a free kick it was from Forlan, Only if it was a millimeter down from the goal post, we could have had some more fun.

So who is your winner for the "Golden Ball"? I think Xavi will win it in the end but my favourite player in the whole tournament has been Diego Forlan. He has been simply amazing.

I have a strong feeling (just cos my heart wants it) that the Netherlands are gonna win the game today and that too by a good 2 goal margin.

I accept the Spain are better technically but have a feeling that Holls are gonna take away it from them.

Nomination for
Golden ball from my side - Sniejder, cos his goals have been at critical matches.
Golden boot from my side - Sniejder again.. what say.
