The Duel (a Spielberg movie), Cars, Days of Thunder, Gone in 60 Seconds, The Fast & the Furious flicks, Transporter 1&2.... many more, not coming to mind right away.
There should be a thread on the best car chase scenes... Ronin, The Italian Job, Bourne Identity & Supremacy, Transporter 1&2, MI2 (the bike chase scene!) etc etc ... nice long list.

The best car movies IMHO are:
Le Mans
Grand Prix
Super Speedway

Unfortunately, its very difficult to find them in rentals, at least in Pune.

2 Fast 2 Furious and the series seem to be a favorite here... I would also like to add Initial D, a good movie of drifting and focuses on Toyota AE86

I love that movie too ('have a VCD of it)....also Christine- featuring a 'demonic' 1958 Plymouth Fury, although it may seem scary to some people....based on a novel by Stephen King.
