Bangalore users, has anyone paid their property tax online yet? Portal working fine? Or has the usual start of period bugs? And by how much did you see the tax increase? (With the new garbage collection cess and revised parking calculation.

I have paid two days back. Portal is working fine. Garbage cess was 360 last year, this year paid 1560.

Very buggy portal; had to do an attempt a few times to get the payment done.

Overall my tax has reduced marginally by a few bucks (I live in the center of the town). Between last year and current year, the differences are as such
- Base 'Property tax' reduced by a few hundreds
- 'Cess' reduced by by a few hundreds
- 'SWM Cess & User Fee' went up by a significant amount (similar to @AltoLXI)

I too should have posted my update here, sorry for not doing that before. I paid as soon as I saw a positive response on this thread. Went through without a hitch, thankfully. Guess with more people trying, the portal is showing some issues.

My tax went up significantly. But I think fair, considering they have not increased it for years.

Now, if only we could get better facilities for what we pay for!

Paid property tax on 10 April. The only increase in property tax has been due to additional SWM charges. Paid Rs 1200, 1200, 600 and 360 extra respectively for three houses and a plot.

I paid yesterday and the amount has increased compared to last year. However, there was no extra charge for the car parking. I checked with and without mentioning the number of parking slots and the amount remained the same.

There seems to be a new question added in the property tax payment form. You need to mention if you are a bulk garbage generator or not.

Anyone living in a 100+ apartment complex is considered a bulk generator. In that case you need to pay Rs 12 per kg of garbage.
