Every user should be given an option to "Star" his favourite post. Thus, every time I click on a User's bio, I can read one of the starred post which according to him/her is his magnum opus. The user can change is starred post as per his discretion. Ideally it should help other users to learn something about a fellow BHPian.

Interesting suggestion!

I actually had a very similar idea recently, though the difference is that it's a selection of threads/posts the member likes the most (not their own).

Kind of like a "fache89's favourite/recommended reads".


Your 'magnum opus' take on it is interesting too... Maybe we could do both if this is implemented.

I browse team bhp from mobile mostly. I switched to desktop site by mistake and now am not able to get back to smartphone mode. Team bhp gets opened in desktop mode by default and i have to manually switch to bhp smartphone mode. Any solutions?

Go to 'User CP' and click on 'Options'. Scroll down to the bottom till you see 'Miscellaneous Options' and in that sub option - "Forum Skins". From the drop down menu select "BHP Smartphone" and save the settings.



Hopefully should solve the issue.

Yes i am doing that now. But i wanted to know whether i can switch to bhp smartphone by default while accessing from smartphone. The login page is still coming in desktop format.

A very minor thing I faced today. Searched for "Rynox Air Gt 3" which is a valid search term but the minimum required letter count is set 3 and received the below error. I dont know how I could make it longer

Thought so but also thought the search would match words with "Rynox", "air" and "GT3" than "GT", "3".

Instead of using the Team bhp search option search for something like 'rynox air gt 3 team bhp' on Google and you should get the required results. You can also search using the search bar on the top right of any TBHP page

For smaller words & less literal searches, the Google Custom Search box on the top right (of both desktop and mobile skins) will probably do a better job than the vBulletin search:

Speaking as a one-time typesetter, I'd say... maybe.

There's too much that can go wrong with automated justification and hyphenation that is never checked by a skilled human. I'd vote for sticking with flush-left.
