If you go through the new posts /new topics, etc the author of the thread starter appears on the extreme right. It would be great if the date of the start of thread also appears at the side of the authors name.

@Volkman, which one are you refering to ? The name on the right of the thread is the name of the member who last posted.

Excellent suggestion; however, a forum is the worst platform for such an initiative. Primarily because, before you know it, the thread has run 50 pages long. And to find something as specific as a junction in there can get overwhelming. Not ruling it out, and we may consider this as a non-forum initiative.

GTO, what about the 'View Single Post' feature? It helps when I just want to refer to a single post on a thread having many pictures, which increases the loading time.

Yes implementing it would be a problem. There must be some sort of way to implement this, so that people reading it would gain from it without reading 50 pages and every post. Will try and see if I can work on it, or come up with a better solution.

GTO, I disagree. I never like the thanked in post feature. It makes things more mechanical. I love to see others reply to the post and thank a person. Team-BHP is all about emotions and passion. Please disable this feature ASAP.

There is nothing more to this community than typing and connecting with people, call me old school or whatever. Other communities have such features and I hate them for that.

Please bring back the true emotions of Team-BHP.

PS: The counting of thanks is just ridiculous, are we competing here. Members that add significant value are anyways given different levels of membership. So why this?

One change I'm not so keen on.

Today I got a "You've Been Quoted" PM/mail. I don't need it, because I'm going to be subscribed to that thread anyway.

Among the vast ocean of Team-BHP, I mostly stick to a pool of subscribed threads. Not everyone is going to work that way, of course: could this quote notification be made optional?

^ Thad, when it's taken live, you will have an option to switch the PM-when-quoted function off. BTW, this was a very recently requested feature on this thread (IIRC, Mdsaab...Thanks!)
