What a lovely piece!. Looks like I missed my chance : (

So perhaps you might be the best person to ask as you own both. I made a visit recently to check out the Oyster Perpetual in person, and they happened to have a domed Datejust 36mm that I tried on side by side.

I always had my mind set on a Datejust with the Fluted bezel and Jubilee bracelet, but I came away smitten with the domed variant that day.
As you own both could you tell me if between the two is there one you prefer one over the other? and If so, why?

Watches are so personalized and hence most watch manufacturers allow you to configure them to your preferences,. Most people prefer to fit it with their work/personal life and then now there's absurd amount of wait list or availability issues. But if you can get your hands on a Jubilee with Fluted bezel, then go for it. It is very exclusive and a beautiful watch. The fluted bezels are made of white gold so there's a lot of opulence to it. It's the best Datejust you can buy imo. It will remind of your good time. As you grow older, you will only admire it more.

I will personally prefer fluted bezels for how nicely it reflects light and over all quality is to marvel over. One caveat is it can take scratches easily which only adds to the character. But between the two you mentioned, the Datejust will be a nice pick over Oyster Perpetual, they're really classics. Domed Datejust was my everyday watch while fluted is always seen on a occasion.

Just like a car, any watch that you can wear everyday and turn your head to admire is a great watch :

Sorry I should have added more info to my post. I intend to daily this watch, so mainly work, meetings etc. with office wear.
So If I go by your personal usage pattern where the fluted piece is seen 'on occasion', perhaps the OP is the way to go then for me.

Re: Which watch do you own?

This watch thread only reminds me of my dad's watch, it was an omega speedmaster and I had broken it's clasp thing and he had given it to a local watch repairing shop to replace the clasp thing but unfortunately COVID hit and the shop closed down and it's owner took that watch with him.
I was devastated because of this incident as I had been nagging my dad to give me that watch but oh well whatever is written will happen.
Pic added for reference.

If this happened to my Omega, I would have showed up at the shop owner's door. Sadly no Omega

Re: Which watch do you own?

What is the general opinion about Boderry Voyager? I don't have a field watch in my 'value for money' collection and this seems to fit the bill. Titanium case, Seiko NH35 movement, sapphire crystal, specs are good for an 8900 rupee watch. Does any BHPian have this in their collection, if so please share your opinion.

I come across this fancy watch on Amazon. Called as wheel series from SKMEI. I like the design. The wheel rotates while the caliper is stationary. Looks cool.Which watch do you own?-watchskmei.jpg

Re: Which watch do you own?

Finally got my wife into G-Shocks too.

She wanted a nondescript but high quality watch, that was reliable and could withstand a lot of abuse. This was for wearing in her office premises (she's in a factory setup). I was like: Say no more, we're getting you a solar-powered G-Shock.

That's a DW-5600UE to match my GW-9400.
