Re: Which watch do you own?

Well the discounts are now capped to 15% max. No one is budging beyond that. Only the prestige version has a slightly higher discount.

Hi haskelerator, if you don't mind, can you please drop the link to the watchbox you use.

Agree on checking the straps often. Even the pins usually bend after a while. Best to wear a nato while travelling for obvious reasons of not having to part with the watch in case something breaks.

Jokes apart, the market is really developing at a rapid pace in India. There are so many aftermarket strap options that one would indeed be spoilt for choices; and reasonably priced too.

Would be lovely if you can share a picture of that display.

Re: Which watch do you own?

Four of my favourites.
Starting from extreme left: Gifted by my favourite Sis in Law.
Second: I gifted myself.
Third: My kiddo got it for me from her Karate Trip to Malaysia that too from her pocket money (never going to lose this one ever).
Fourth: McLaren doesn't have a watch that I like so making do with a Ferrari specially for those race Sundays.

How is the Argos? It had popped up in my feed a couple days back and seemed pretty good for what it claimed to offer.

I've had it for less than a week. I like its looks, and the suede strap with deployment/deployant clasp is pretty good. It's been running well, and is now my daily wear watch.

Got this Ratio Freediver which is rated for 1000 m. The movement is a Seiko NH36 which is used on the Seiko 5 series with day date.

Its better I feel if the watch is registered here.

What they claim is quite something! Their colors are lovely. Really tempted pick up the wine red dial one.

Re: Which watch do you own?

After much deliberation, I picked up my first pilot automatic watch. I wasn’t expecting to buy it today but the Ethos lady I was coordinating with texted saying all the colours I wanted to see were brought to the Gurgaon showroom for me.

I reached in the evening and was told that they got a green and black dial from Jaipur and Chennai, respectively. I wanted to try out the 42mm to see if it was too big. It was. But it wasn’t looking too bad. Quite unexpectedly, I was made an insane offer on the black one which I couldn’t refuse. I couldn’t believe the offer he made me. I had to literally question him if there was something wrong with the piece.

Given the price, I immediately picked it up. The issue was that the showroom was already closed and everyone had left. So I have to go again tomorrow to get the bracelet adjusted. The user manual and the leather pouch that carries the warranty card was also missing. The card is there in the box though.

My guess is that this is very old stock. And they wanted to clear it as soon as possible. For the price and what it offers, I think The watch is very reasonably priced. Anyway, I have to go pick up the booklet tomorrow. Hope there are no surprises.

Longines Spirit, ladies and gentlemen.
