need to erase all the history that you've learned before one goes to watch this movie. And this movie got 8.5 rating at IMDB??
Kaushik, I watched Inglourious Basterds yesterday and took care to temporarily do the above during the movie. And you know what, I
really enjoyed the movie. What sets Tarantino movies apart IMHO are the conversation pieces. I really liked the basement bar scene in this instance.

No kidding, she won the Oscar for this role. Too bad she never got good roles after that to show off her talent.

I have seen this movie probably 20 times since 1993. Even have the DVD. I first heard about limited slip differential from her.

Funny People, starring Adam Sandler, Eric Bana, Leslie Mann and Seth Rogen. Expected a lot from such a funny cast, but the movie was a bit of let down. Sandler is a famous stand up comedian, who is diagnosed with some form of Leukemia. He takes in Seth Rogen, who is trying to be a stand up comic, and hilarity ensues. The movie is a tad too long, and tries too hard to be funny but ends up being profane and staid. Now don't get me wrong, the movie does have its moments, but most of the jokes/ gags don't work too well. Bana is hilarious as the Aussie husband of Sandler's ex-. Specially his explanation of Rugby to the Americans stand out. If you like Sandler and his brand of humor, go for it. Also, if you like Rogen (I have been a fan since Knocked up, and Zack and Miri....) go for it though don't expect it to be that good.

Rating: 3/5 for the gags that work and for the hilarious Aussie Bana.

Last week caught up on following movies with a bit of Denzel Mania added up :-

The Motorcycle Diaries

Its the story of Che Guvera ( famous face of cuba revolution) taking a trip with a friend across the breadths and lengths of South America on motorcycle.

Beautiful movie and a nice watch for road travellers and laced with good lessons on morality.

3.5/5

Courage under Fire starring Denzel Washington, Meg Ryan, Lou Diamond Phillips and Matt Damon

Denzel investigates the gallantry awards presented to US defense personnel and this shows that what goes on in battlefield is not always the correct projection.

Powerful script and great acting by all. Must watch

4/5

Dejavu starring Denzel Washington and Val Kilmer

Again Denzel is an ATF agent investigating a bomb explosion on a ferry in New Orleans and how the US governent using a technology can go back 4 days to stop this terrorist act before its comitted.

Trust the hollywood folks to come up with some outrageous technology possibilites ( which can never happen in reality) but make you beileve in them.

Superb acting my Denzel and he just bulldozes through this movie. What an actor !

4/5

First two are mere nominations, the third one is an actually win. For My Cousin Vinny in 1993. I don't understand your confusion...

I have seen twilight (the first part) - some scenes were good - i felt as if directors are trying to potray a positive side of vampires - i mean human side of vampire . Must say didn't like it much.

Twilight was a chick flick, and my guess is the sequel would be the same. If you want to see a vampire flick, watch 30 Days of Night. Much better, creepier and awesome vampires. Or the Blade Trilogy. Twilight has nothing to offer to horror/ vampire fans. More like a feel good love story, the vampire bit is incidental. Spiderman 3 is one correct comparison though
