Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre: 4.5/5

"Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre" is an action-packed comedy thriller that will leave you entertained. The cinematography is also great, with beautiful shots of various locations across Europe. The soundtrack is equally impressive, with a mix of original and classic songs that perfectly complement the movie's fast-paced action scenes.

A Jason Statham action flick.

A Guy Ritchie / Jason Statham Flick

Was a fun time pass movie. Loved Hugh Grant in this.

Where is the movie being streamed?

Murder Mystery 2

Streaming: Netflix

God knows why Jennifer Anniston and Adam Sandler chose to do this movie, a pathetic movie with nothing even remotely related to mystery or a thriller. I was getting irritated by the so called goofiness of Adam Sandler. Jennifer looks old and totally out of context. Suggest to give this one a miss.

I have a theory that Sandler is the go-to guy for movies that are being made just to launder money. There's no way the kind of movies he's been making for so long can seriously be expected to become hits, it's got to be a deliberate ploy to lose money and launder money through production costs!

(Just a joke, Sandler fans, please don't jump on me!)

Old article but good read still:

And apparently the dude has a net worth of almost 500 million USDs :)

Love some of his old movies and they tickle a childish bone inside me :D

TETRIS : 5/5

I have played Tetris since I had my first Gameboy, so this film made me feel nostalgic to say the least! If you’ve ever played Tetris and wanted to learn of its origins... this is the movie for you.

The story line was compelling and fast paced, great 80s music, beautiful cinematography and visual effects. There is thrill and excitement throughout.

Thank you for the review. Started it but still yet to watch the full movie. I simply couldn't get past the fact of Rick Yune's seemingly placid role he plays here as compared to his typical martial arts related role in other movies till date.

Woman King

Streaming: Netflix

Although the plot is nothing new but I liked the treatment given and the acting by actors esp Viola Davis who carried the film very nicely. The locales are nice, however many scenes are in the dark. Overall its a good one time watch. The film does have some violence scenes so watching with children needs to be thought of.

"Hunger" on Netflix is an addictive must-watch movie that goes beyond just cooking and chefs. It explores the dynamics of food preferences between the rich and the poor, among other things.

A man called Otto - 4/5

A simple predictable story but told beautifully. A story of a widower who has lost the will to live, until he find a few causes to keep moving. The whole starcast have done a great job in their respective roles to give this movie the necessary warmth.

If someone loves "Up", they will love this too. Available on Netflix.

John Wick 4 - 3.75/5

I was afraid I might miss out but finally caught up with this in the theatre. The scenes continue to defy logic and the movie felt like a drag at times but as they say, all's well that ends well!

The Professionals (1966):

Was in the mood to watch a western and found this movie on Netflix

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060862/

"An arrogant Texas millionaire hires four adventurers to rescue his kidnapped wife from a notorious Mexican bandit."

It was a good watch as far as westerns go :)

3/5

The Kingdom (2007): (On Netflix)

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0431197/

"A team of U.S. government agents are sent to investigate the bombing of an American facility in the Middle East."

While searching for movies named Kingdom, this came up and was surprised that I had not seen this highly rated movie.

It was an ok watch. Felt it has not aged well.

3/5

While surfing, came across a 2018 movie on Netflix called - Searching. The plot looked similar to the famous "Taken" - father in search of his missing daughter. So, always skipped it. However, yesterday thought of giving this one a try and I loved the way this movie is filmed.

Every shot that is filmed for a viewer is either through the MacBook lens, some streaming service or the media cameras. So, makes for a unique viewing experience and keeps you hooked as it makes you a part of the movie.

Surely a good watch - as a father searches all the clues in her daughters laptop after her sudden disappearance with enough potential suspects.

Seven Kings must die

This is the closure of The Last Kingdom series.
There is a thread of history in the entire story of the movie and the series, but apart from that, do not expect logic, especially in terms of the lead character, Uhtred, who does not get old ever!!:D
I enjoyed the series way too much, and and the movie, hence, did not disappoint. It will not make much sense unless you have seen the series.

Thoroughly enjoyable.
Rated 5/5

I caught this one over the weekend.
I have watched the Viking series and started watching 'the last kingdom' series (2 episodes).
I absolutely loved the movie - in spite of all the violence and gore, there is a solid emotional undertone all throughout the story, which makes it worthwhile. Also, some great background score.

Highly recommended. Rating - 4/5
