IT - Watched it over the weekend. I felt that the movie is totally hyped, just because of a big novelist's name attached. My 15$ wasted I felt.
Could have watched Shubh Mangal Saavdan. Ayushman's offbeat movies are always a delight to watch.
Might have as well seen Annabelle Creation !

The kids' performances were very good. Future stars.
Storyline was fair. The concept of Fear demonizing/scaring a person is old. Doesn't excite.
The Clown was funnier and did not add any scare factor. In the 80s', it might have been a nice concept of having a clown monster, but not in today's world.

Saw The Babushka's of Chernobyl and i found it so touching.

More a documentary than a film. But presented in the most endearing way. I would recommend people to spend 70 minutes on it. Makes us appreciate how lucky we are.

Couple of good watches on Amazon:

War Dogs
Take "lord of war", make it a bit funnier. I was surprised by how this movie kept me engaged. Its about a a guy who perceives himself to be a loser in life, who meets up with a childhood pal who has become an arms dealer.
I dont get a lot of time to watch anything in one sitting now, so whenever I do get time, I want something that will keep me seated. This did.
And its supposedly based on true events.

Middle men
This is also based on true events, and the origins of electronic billing online, especially in the porno industry(in the movie). Luke Wilson is a complete surprise in the movie. He's performed really well, and the general progression of the movie keeps you on your toes. This kept me seated as well.....:D

Completely agree with your review. This has got to be the worst big budget Hollywood movie ever.

Lets see what does it have

- Is there a story - NO
- Is there a screenplay - NO
- Are the characters defined - NO
- Does anybody in the movie or people watching the movie know what is going on - NO
- Is there any connection to previous movies - NO
- Do the Transformers look as they looked in previous movies - NO

The only scene I liked was when one of them transforms into a rare Lamborghini Centanario

Avoid at all costs unless you just like watching giant robots fighting without logic on a big screen.

Watched Blade Runner 2049 over the weekend. There are a few interesting concepts that are put forth through the movie, that has an ethical impact in this day and age. The acting is top notch, especially Ryan Gosling who takes off from where he last left, that end sequence of La La Land.

Harrison Ford is there, reprising the role of Rick Deckard from the first movie. There's even Jared Leto but with minimal screen space. The BGM and tracks are the highlight of the movie with Sinatra, Elvis and original tracks by Hans Zimmer and Lauren Daigle respectively. Zimmer collaborates with Vangelis (who composed for the original Blade Runner) for the bgm and the shakes-your-seat-in-theater sound is very apparent.

The film does suffer from pacing issues in the third act. It doesn't take the movie down though but does leave you sour after you leave the theater. And there's an apparent sequel-bait to this movie.

Denis Villeneuve gives us a bleak outlook for the future, that's spellbinding, spectacular and thought provoking in turns. Can't detail the thought provoking things as it'd obviously leak the plot.

Also, if this movie is playing near you in IMAX, I'd recommend you go for it rather than a normal 3D or 4DX.

This is one movie to look forward to.

Watched a few movies over a long train journey:

Game Change: I think this was recommended by GTO a few pages back. About the John McCain election campaign and the role of Sarah Palin.

Nice movie and justifies the comment that we often get the leaders we deserve!

The Green Room: Surprised to see a wise old man playing the villain in this. Decent horror/slasher/thriller flick.

The Dark Tower: I have not read the book/s so i can't compare. But the scenes in which Idris and Mathew were there, was just amazing. Such star power and charisma. The gun fight at the end was just mesmerizing and was sad when it got over. OK as a movie to while the time away.

Project X: A movie about a party getting out of hand? Meh. Skipped through most. Maybe i am too old to identify with it :P

Baby Driver: Cars & Kevin Spacey in the same movie - what's not to like? So I thought. Man, what a terribly average flick. Thought I'll enjoy it over the weekend so bought it on the PlayStore & cast it to the TV. Except for some nice driving, there is nothing worthwhile in the movie. Don't understand the high ratings its gotten online.

I'll give it 2 / 5 stars. Totally avoidable.

Not defending the movie here, but Edgar Wright is known to do visual comedy better. Agreed that Baby Driver is one of his mediocre efforts, but I came off impressed; especially with Jamie Foxx's performance and the Hocus Pocus track being synced to gunshots. I think you should give this director another try.

Again, don't want to raise your hopes but Denis Villeneuve movies take time to setup the third act. The movie is visually brilliant though.

Yep. Same here. For me, the movie began and ended with the opening scene in the red subaru.

Watched an offbeat cooking movie yesterday. "Cooking up a storm" A movie about two great chefs with polar opposite styles of cooking. The cooking scenes were shot great and had my mouth watering.

Run of the mill storyline though. All in all, 90mins of good timepass.

Saw Spielberg last week and was a decent relook at the life of one of the greatest moviemakers of our generation.

Shod with scenes from the most iconic movies made by him and some behind the scenes discussion with prominent casts and other directors who were in his social circle.

At approximately 150 minutes, it does drag on in between but in all i enjoyed the blast into the past.

Saw Overdrive few days back. The star cast read Scott Eastwood (son of the legendary Clint Eastwood) and Ana De Armas (had seen War Dogs a week or so back). Lot of expectation from the movie was instantly squashed. There was nothing in the plot. Force a thief to steal cars huh..

The cars used in the movie were a treat to watch although there weren't any super slick chase scenes.

I watched the movie simply for Ana De Armas:D

Watched Spiderman Home-Coming. Oh why does Marvel keep making movies that have absolutely zero stakes and no incident within the movie having grim consequences. I only dread watching Thor: Ragnarok and I can't skip it because friend circle is filled with Marvel fanboys. :Frustrati

Another movie that I watched over the past week at home, was Pan's Labyrinth. I won't divulge the story here but think of it as the anti-thesis of a fairytale. The movie is in Spanish, with English subtitles. This was a re-watching due to lack of other engrossing choices and also because Guillermo Del Toro, the director, has come up with a movie on similar lines called The Shape Of Water. The new movie releases sometime towards the end of this year.

If so, then I'd suggest you watch Blade Runner 2049 in theaters.

Watched 10 Clover field Lane, though IMDB page lists its genre as Drama, Horror, Mystery, it is less of horror and more of Drama, Mystery, Thriller.

Without spoiling the plot have to say that movie would keep you guessing and worth watching .
Enough doubts are created in audience's mind throughout movie, to keep you glued till end.

And yes its available on Amazon Prime

Bridge of Spies : A full 5 out of 5 stars.

Tom Hanks, as always, is outstanding. And the dialogue quality & directing are simply far out.

Watch it. Don't even think twice if you haven't.
