Duel

Simply WOW! I'm left speechless! Superb acting by Dennis Weaver. Simple, yet awesome script. Edge of the seat, adrenaline pumping, heart thumping action that makes one's mouth dry and eyes glued to the screen. Amazing direction by a kid (then) called Steven Spielberg. He had used this movie as a precursor (to test the waters in this genre) to his next blockbuster "Jaws". A thrilling ride.
4.5/5.

Re: The English Movies Thread (No Spoilers Please)

Everybody's fine - This is a 2009 movie with a starry cast (Robert De Niro, Drew Barrymore, Kate Beckinsale, Sam Rockwell). The movie is about a widow retiree who takes a trip across the US to visit his children.

I am an emotional bum and I don't like movies that make me cry. But I just couldn't stop watching this. The end is epic.

Awesome movie, must watch!

Recently I watched Draft Day. Wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be brilliant thriller. No, you don't have to understand American Football to watch this movie. It is about how freshly graduated football players are picked by professional teams in a process called Draft. It starts off slowly and turns into a nail-biting edge-of-the-seat thriller.

The Island

Concept is not new. Big chunks borrowed from Oblivion. Flavors of few other movies like Matrix and I, Robot are also present. Didn't think it possible, but Scarlett Johansson is sexier than ever on screen. One time watch.

2.5/5.

The Judge is good. Story is clichéd, but acting is to notch. Watch in theater if it catches your fancy. I would recommend DVD viewing at home.

Dracula untold

Weeeelll......
Not that great.
There are some good pieces, but the movie is like Delhi traffic, stop and go. Lots of stuff happening one moment, and then complete Zen trance the other.
And then, Vlad demonstrates his powers, and you wonder, why does he not use it to the max, and just obliterate everything? Like he was told there's still 40 minutes left in the movie.

I personally feel that as far as strong Dracula goes, nothing beats Drake from blade trinity. And still the champion.

What if-
It's a nice light Hearted romantic movie. Daniel Radcliffe has finally broken out of his Harry Potter image. Movie is predictable but engaging. Recommended.
Rating - 4/5

Actually he did act in movie called 'December Boys' even before the series finished. Decent flick, one time watch.

Great movie! The best one I have watched in a while. Unlike Inception, it doesn't get confusing at times even though they have a similar concept. It contains a little profanity so not a family movie. I think the biggest selling point was Tom Cruise. Must watch.
If you ever get confused about time travel movies, watch this clip of Big Bang Theory

On the subject of time travel (or time loops rather), has anyone seen the Spanish file Timecrimes?
