Parker
Return of Jason Statham, I was a tad disappointed seeing him in Redemption but he is back with a bang. He is doing what he does best. Lots of action with a special mention to hotel fight which was well executed.
Story ain't unique, Somewhat similar to Faster.
Few plot holes but with its fast pace they can be ignored. J Lo is a waste and totally unnecessary character.
Rating- 9/10

Watched Oblivion, a couple of nights back and man!! What a movie!!

Definitely one of the better science fiction movies with brilliant effects and the sound when you watch it in 1080p! :D

This one gets my vote. I wonder why it tanked! I, for one, loved it.

Watch Moon if you like Oblivion - I thought the latter was a straight lift from Moon. Nothing original.

Searched for following movies on this thread and was surprised that none of these are mentioned here so far:

1. Call Northside 777 (1948)
Plot: A reporter uncovers new clues in a 11 year old cop murder case.
Main cast: James Stewart
My rating: 8/10

2. 12 Angry Men (1957)
Plot: 12 men jury is summoned to decide fate of a young boy accused of murdering his father.
Main cast: Henry Fonda
My rating: 9/10

Saw Conjuring last weekend, and I must say, it was indeed spooky! Loved the plot and the direction. OUTSTANDING sound effects. 8/10 from my side :)

A must watch in the theatre.

Two back to back movies last night, and boy they were a treat to the eyes!

Star Trek - Into Darkness - From the minute he comes on screen, Benedict Cumberbatch owns this movie, and there's no letting go! The plot actually revolves around the plans of Khan - and the visuals are spectacular. I am cursing myself to have missed this on the big screen. 4.5/5 from me.

Now you see me - The plot may seem a little too far fetched, and the tricks a little too stretched, but there's sparks and twist to be had in each scene when Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson or Dave Franco take to the screen. Morgan 'barritone' Freeman and Mark 'Hulk' Ruffalo play their roles beautifully. And did I mention Melanie 'Shosanna' Laurent for her excellent support? All in all - an excellent movie to enjoy. 4/5 from me.

Both the films deserve a second watch, if not a third.

Over the weekend watched @ PVR "The Frozen Ground" (Nicolas Cage as usual at his best). The 1983 scene is created well and grips you till the end. I would rate it 4/5

It is a good watch. Always liked cage but off late he was doing crappy movies. However in this he has acted very well.

I saw it. It is howlarious. Not a family movie though. I saw it uncensored and it was crazy.

A good 2 hour timepass movie. Not on the lines of American Pie but more mature.

Keep your brains at home.

Yeah... 8:45 in IMAX, Sunday. I don't know how I'm gonna take sweetheart Jenny in that Avatar. :p

You coming?

Saw Riddick Yesterday

Consensus: Riddick tries to bring back the spirit of Pitch Black but doesn't quite succeed. It will appeal to those who are Vin Diesel Fans (his presence is the one good thing about the movie), or those who like the Franchise.

Overall, an easy, cheesy Popcorn Action Thriller which does not demand too much. Mind you, its not for the squeamish, with visuals of decapitated heads and limbs serving to up the gore factor.

Overall: 2/5

Oh?
I was planning to watch this today.
What about urban and bautista? Neither of them any good?

Ok. So went ahead and saw it.

Riddick

First half: Marley and me
Second half: Er......

The movie does not have Urban. He's just there in a flashback.
The movie just does not seem necessary. If they built a proper storyline, and made a good Riddick movie, again, the whole of this one could have been covered in the first 15 minutes.
He awakens, fights a few life forms and then is hunted by bounty hunters, and then he gets away.
End of file.

Wait for the DVD, then don't buy it.

2/5

One for visuals, and one for Batista.

We're the Millars

Pretty lame movie. Bunch of random scenes joint together. . Avoid even a free screening on TV :)
