Battlestar Galactica:Blood and chrome

Any fans here of BG?

This is a prequel to the series, and its quite brilliant.
Adama's formative years, and some good buildup to the cylons.
I mean, HAS to be seen is youre a fan, but can also be seen as a standalone Sci-fi flick

5/5 or 4/5, depending on where youre coming from..

Watched Jurassic Park 3D over the weekend. It's must watch for Jurassic Park fans. The 3D effects are just awesome and there are some new scenes too which I don't recall watching when it was originally released 20 years back.

5/5

Taken 2 (4/5)
just could not resist watching even after reading lot of reviews saying first one was much better. I might agree but i think the second one is also quite good and you should watch it for Liam Neeson.

Brave (3.5/5)
Certainly not the best animated movie ever, but there just havent been too many in the recent past. Studios are more interested making 3D live action movies these days. :(
Anyways its nice and has a happy feel to it. has some really funny moments too.

End of Watch

A cop crime drama , set in south central LA , much like movies like Training Day or Rampart. Nice one time watch, shot almost documentary style. If you enjoy cop/crime dramas , you will like this one too!

Rating : 3.5/5 , extra .5 for the portrayal of cop camaraderie.

Saw this awesome movie last weekend. Its a Brazilian movie about two honest cops in Rio, dealing with corruption, drug dealers and violence, against the backdrop of a special police unit (BOPE). The movie is actually a narrative by a captain in that special police unit.
Highly recommended!

Rating 3.5/5.0.

Tropa De Elite 2

Since I found the first part very interesting , I got hold of the second part. Skeptical I was, since sequels are usually never as good as the original. But boy was I wrong. This one is actually even more amazing than the original!! Very gripping with its twists and turns.
Very highly recommended!

Rating 4.5/5.0.

PS : You got to watch the first part before watching the second , the story carries on where the first one left off.
Liked the story so saw both of these on your recommendation.

Verdict: loved both of them and like you, I loved the second part with all its twists and turns. My ratings would be the same as yours!

Oblivion
5/5

If there is one movie you want to catch of the current crop, it's this one.

You know how you watch a movie, and know that it's going to be there on your "dvd" collection for later watches? Well, this qualifies.
Post apocalypse movies are always fun, and this one is well executed, with a neat story line.

Do watch this on the screen if a fan of either Tom Cruise, or end of the world stories.

Also , don't you see some chilling similarities between Indian and Brazilian "systems" ?

Oh!
I was wondering why the music sounded the way it did! In fact, I was telling my wife that the 80s theme music reminded me of the original Tron, and really suited the whole experience.
Now we know.
