But then again you have to be a biker at heart to appreciate that movie :)

Yup. agree:

IMO its much much better than Torque any day!
And i enjoyed it fully when i saw it on HBO or Star movies.

@Faithless, I think they were showing Descent on World Movies sometime last week. I love this genre, missed it, so will look out for it to play again.

Watched Notorious yesterday.
It's a real life story of Notorious B.I.G a.k.a. Christopher Wallace.
It's a good movie.
A must watch movie if you are a rap fan.
Movie has some great music.
I will give it 3.2/5.0

Also watched City of God
This is also a real life story, of brazilian drug dealers gang war as seen form eye of a journalist photographer.
I would highly recommend this movie. Its a must watch.
Would rate it 4.8/5.0
PS. Its a foreign language movie, you have to watch with subtitles (Dont let that get in your way though).

Watched 'He's just not that into you' last night. Nice fun flick, Scarlett Johansson was eye candy :D

Can she be anything else? I mean, she sleepwalk through most of her movies, even the-so-charged-up-script of Vicky Christie Barcelona, forget Lost in Translation. yeah, but I hope she stays eye-candy :-)

This weekends lineup:
1. Steven Soderberg's Che part I & II with English subs (Stg. Benicio Del Toro)
2. Dog Day Afternoon (Stg. Al Pacino)
3. Charlie Wilson's War (Stg. Tom Hanks)

Awesome movie. Don't miss the guy who plays Zia in the movie.

Saw these movies on DVD this week -

Last chance Harvey -

A wonderful movie ( feel good ) - starring Dustin Hoffman. About a guy who is losing everything in life ( his job, family etc ). He goes to London to his daughter's wedding where he is not given so much importance, in fact more is given to the step dad. This is where he meets a girl who changes his life overnight. A very good watch and a light comedy. 4/5

Deathrace -

Starring Jason Statham. This one must have been seen by everyone. I do not know about the reviews but I absolutely loved the movie, the action scenes and the races. Jason's an absolute winner ( and one of my fav actors ). 4/5

Revised The Godfather yesterday. As good as ever :)

I forgot to rate it myself- 4.5/5.

Really loved the movie. Not just the acting, the issue of conflict diamonds was an eye opener for me. The black actor is Djimon Hounsou who ended up with an oscar nomination. He had also received a nomination for his work in Spielberg's Amistaad.

Watched Blood Diamond yesterday. I was totally blown over by this movie. As Tortoise said, that issue was unknown and it indeed was an eye opener.

Loved Leonard Di Caprio who blended an easy going, sentimental and ruthless personality into one character. Great delivery

Djimon's acting is completely undescribable, his emotions tug strings of your heart, superb acting. Why he didnt receive an oscar is a question? Are oscars rigged?:D

Jeniffer Connelly starts of in a very casual note but picks up some intensity later on. Her blue eyed stare was enough to fell our hero. Decent job by her.

4.5/5

Djimon Honsou indeed did a great job in Blood Diamond. I think he was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor for this movie.

His best performance yet (IMHO) is in Amistad. Amistad is another really good movie (starring Antony Hopkins, Morgan Freeman, Djimon Honsou and Matthey McConnaughey, Pete Postelwaite and others). The movie is set in the pre-Civil War era in the USA (it wasn't the USA then, heh heh) and the main theme is Slavery. Djimon Honsou deserved at least a nomination for this movie, but he did not get nominated.

He was indeed nominated but anyone knows if he was awarded the oscar. AFAIK, nobody from the 5 nominations for this movie got the oscar which is a pity.

Sounds good about Amistad. Will check that out soon.

How is Fantastic 4-Rise of the Silver Surfer? Planning to watch that today:)

The Day of the Jackal
The Odessa File
The Dogs of War

Downloaded these three movies in a single package based on forsythe novel from obvious places from net. You see these are not even available if you want to buy them. But highly recomended.

First one I saw long ago but the other two just last week.

Strange thing about his novel is the details and procedure used by protagonist, and actual events happening and technics used by people after decades of his novel's release.
