Clint Eastwood is the greatest! As a director, the way he is able to manipulate moviegoers emotions is amazing.

Please also watch Invictus when you get a chance.

I think you guys are missing the point of the movie. This is supposed to be a spoof of all the cliches used in shoot em up movies, hence the name. The movie isn't supposed to be taken seriously at all. I thought that was obvious from the movie itself, that is why everything is over the top. Just stop taking it seriously and you will enjoy it a lot. It's a very funny movie and the one liners are awesome.

I knew it was a spoof before watching it.
I also got the Bugs Bunny references in the movie. I got that it was supposed to be like a Bugs Bunny cartoon movie.

But I still found it stupid & unfunny.

I am a big time war movie buff.

This movie is interesting because this is one of very few Hollywood WWII movie made on perspective of Axis powers.

Beautifully made movie.

Also you do not like to miss Flags of our father. Clint Eastwood made this one almost simultaneously.

I too am a great fan of WW movies. I am not sure if there is a movie, but I read a book long back from the German perspective---'The Eagle has Landed'. It was a real good book. I hope they made a movie out of it.

Contrary to popular belief - a section of animated movies are made keeping in mind the adult viewers.
I watched a few of them this year and must say they are excellent.
They are:

Dante's Inferno
Afro Samurai: Resurrection
Batman: under the red hood

I shall post more as I have a large collection of them (courtesy one of my friends).

blackasta, i am a big batman fan and have watched under the red hood. Loved the joker. stands up to his name. the bridge showdown between red hood and the joker is too good. Black Shadow, "You cant trust anyone these days" good one.

Really need an idea like V on todays India.

Try and get hold of the graphic Novel if you can - its unputdownable and 100 times better than the film.

Absolutely - the "comic" was awesome. In fact, I had read the "comic" before I watched the movie.

Watched this movie and as you mentioned, it was fantastic. Violence in the most subtle way.

Kathy Bates seemed like a very recognizable face. Anyone knows which other movies she starred apart from this one?

Kathy Bates has won the Academy & Golden Globe for her memorable performance in Misery.

Her notable performances can be seen in movies like Fried Green Tomatoes,Dolores Claiborne, Titanic, Primary Colors,About Schmidt and Revolutionary Road.

She is also a successful TV actress as well.

P.S: Next in line is " Four Weddings and a Funeral" starring Hugh Grant and Andie McDowell. Reviews please?

Nice movie, typically Brit humor :) Its about Hugh and Andie bumping into each other in the events described in the title of the movie.
Completely watchable :) Enjoy

Why just India? I think even the UK & USA will need something like this very soon - the whole world is turning into a police state slowly but steadily using the excuse of terrorism.
