the last castle (2001)

The storyline is influenced from Great Escape, Shawshank Redemption. The lovers of this genre will like this film. Performances are awesome from principle cast as well as supporting cast.

Its has a couple of problems in script, but it has great entertainment and good performances.

As said before, lovers of this genre, enjoy. Its a good watch.

4/5

Decent movies, nothing to rave about - one time watch. 3/5

The A-Team

Okay, the "men" are back.
The movie is totally senseless, with totally outrageous stunts. While XXX sequel bordered on ridiculous, this movie actually carries it out pretty well.
Its not stop action. you are at the edge of the seat, and you actually bond with the cast. Every character is introduced very well, and every character carries off his road with perfection.
The female cast(Biel) is just there for the heck of it.
A must watch
4/5!

Watched Toy Story 3 over the weekend at Inox. The movie was great. People who had watched the first movies when they were younger would identify with this a lot. The movie has lots of funny scenes and lots of very touching scenes. This movie is as good or even better than the previous 2 movies. Pixar has just shown how trilogies are to be made.
Also, I watched the movie in 3D but think that the 3D didn't add anything to the movie, unlike movies like "Avatar" and "How to train your Dragon" . So the movie can be watched in 2D and it will be as effective. Also, it might be just a little scary for children younger than 10 .

Green Zone: Matt Dillon

an excellent thriller that has dozes of action to satiate the hungry. Its a fiction since i didn't find any title that says 'based on true story' but it works well. Not only well, its awesome.

Its all about controversial post war politics played in Iraq. Cinematography is excellent, this is one movie where hand handled cams is good. The locations feel almost real, as if they are indeed shot in Baghdad. But I doubt it, must be shot in Hollywood studios or in England. But hats off to production designer.

Matt Dillon is super, effective. Director has handled action sequences with aplomb, tension builds superbly and keeps you on tenter hooks.

Good job. A must must watch. Thriller lovers, enjoy. You have your 2 hours worth. Just don't look for facts in Movies, they are not made for those.

5/5

Law Abiding Citizen: Its a story about how a "law abiding citizen" takes revenge of his wife and daughter's murders when the primary accused is let off with a light punishment. Has its promise but I was a bit disappointed by the ending. 3.5 stars

Kick-A$$ Either I am not made for this genre of movies, or the IMDB ratings are crap. Did not like it at all. It was too kiddish to be a proper action movie, contained too much profanity and gore to be a kiddie movie, and had too little humor to be a comedy. Not for me, though the high IMDB (8.xx) rating may indicate that I am a part of minority. 1 star.
