Absolutely loved the ending of that one.

They been telecasting this on channels quite regularly these days. I saw it a few times too. Pretty engrossing movie.

You bet. I felt sorry for the hero:Frustrati

The Mist is rather more of a Suspense than Horror, loved the movie as you guys said best part is the ending, also loved the old TLC.

I watched this movie and as abdul said it is very light and moves ahead with a good pace, loved the frog's and the firefly's character.

My Rating : 3/5

But dude our overzealous censor board snips out every hint of gore and profanity from movies. In my opinion, you have to watch horror movies on DVD/blu ray.

Desperation
Riding the Bullet
Storm of the Century (TV miniseries)
Night Flier ( A very different Vampire movie.Love the atmosphere)
Silver Bullet (One of the best Werewolf movies ever made)

I agree. I saw it for the first time on DVD. Just pointed out that its being telecasted on tv as well. And, watched it a couple of more times due to that.

Btw, another slightly similar movie is " The Storm of the Century" i own an un-cut version blue ray and dvd. Its a 3 hour long movie but, very engrossing, suspenseful and horror type movie.

Oh...I didnt see you mentioned this movie and that its a mini series. I have a DVD of a feature film. Damn nice movie.

Saw " Pet Sematary" last night with special effects like all lights out and only ceiling spot lights on....:D

After a long time, i came out of a movie quite satisfied. This movie is subtle, strange, horrific and most importantly scary at several places.

Its not the slasher and weird horror made up men type of movie but, is quite nice. I had a good time watching it ( got a bit scared to, that's why)

It was a pleasant surprise to see Fred Gywne in it and he acted well. Remember he is the sarcastic judge in " My Cousin Vinny"

Stephen King rocks !!!!

Indeed, First time when I saw this movie., I said what the ... If this was a real life situation we cant imagine what he must has gone through.


Caught up Movie: How to Train Your Dragon in IMAX 3D.

Its a movie about vikings who fight with dragons, since they are kind of nuisance to their tribe.Here come the hero who is a nerd and not so a real viking, until he finds himself pairing up with a real dragon. An absolute stunner of a movie , Its is a must watch for all movie lovers and animated 'fans' should not miss this dreamworks fire cracker.

They are indeed coming close to pixar in story telling/animation and this movie just defines it.

P.S. : For all those who feel that animated movies are for kids ;then let me tell you, that movie making is itself an art, it doesn't matter whether it is animated/real as long as you admire it.

Animated films recommendation: Ratatouille,Incredibles, Monsters Inc and ofcourse 'Cars' .Waiting for Cars2 with mater and lightning mcqueen on a new adventure.

How's X-Men-Origins : Wolverines? I am getting this delivered today.

:Shockked: You didn't like The Shining?? Shawshank Redemption? And to some extent The Green Mile?

No. They are both really lousy movies. Just kidding!

Of course, Shawshank is one of the best films ever made. However, they have been mentioned several times in this section. I wanted others to discover the lesser known yet equally entertaining Stephen King films.

I'm sure you know that Stephen himself lives in Bangor, Maine. There have been several instances when the gargoyles outside his home have been stolen. Maine and Oregon are my favorite states too. Spectacular scenery, chilled out and cold!

The overall feel towards the end of "The Mist" is a bit like "Cloverfield". Though they are both very different movies but you only realise towards the end as to what is killing everybody.

Did anyone else like Cloverfield?

No. I didnt know he was from Maine. Now its no surprise why most of his book adaptations are shot there.

Similar to our Night Shymalan..huh? All his movies are Philly based:)

Watched, "Roman Holiday (1953)". Very nice romantic comedy. A good number of movies might have copied this one.

Saw " X-Men :Origins : Wolverine" Starring Hugh Jackman and Liev Schrebier.

This is my first movie from this edition. Found it quite engrossing and slick to a large extent.

Great action, cinematography ( Canada is beautiful) and some decent acting.

I liked Liev Schrebier more than Hugh Jackman. I started liking him since "Manchurian Candidate"

The DVD print was excellent and on my HT, the sound came through crystal clear and it was almost like watching the movie in a multiplex.
