The Keychain thread
(
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifting-gears/53744-keychain-thread.html)
after searching i found that theres no thread on keychains!
I love keychains and thought it would be interesting to share what keychains fellow petroheads use, where do you get them from, or just anything about them!
to start with i have most of mine from ModelArt :-
- Momo Aluminium, Carbonfibre and rubber keychain
- Michelin F1 tyre replica.
- Shocker with LED flashlight switched on and of by pressing the shocker.
Will post pics soon.
Right now im looking for a cool keychain for my yellow comet,
Heres what ive thought of as yet:-
-I thought of dog tags, with my dad and my details on them(as we both ride it)
-Solar powered LCD flashing keychain
-Tritium Glowing yellow keychain
Tritium keychains are really popular in europe and the US but banned in the US as tritium is radioactive and cannot be sold for toys and frivolous items maybe used in watches heres a link:
bookofjoe: Traser GlowRing - so cool - but you can't buy one in the U.S.A.
any suggestions??
I have a Swiss Knife as a key chain.
The key chain on my other car keys is a souvenir of Chicago City. I also have a souvenir key chain from Mercedes Museum in Germany.
EDIT: For some reasons, the image that I attached does not open properly, though I do not believe anything went wrong at the time of uploading.
heres a funny one. my friend has a honda keychain on the keys of his audi a6. its the silver honda logo that used to come with the nhc.lol:

thanks buddy nice one!
Any recommended place (in Mumbai) or website to buy true petrolhead keychains? I have a handful of cool keychains, but none too special to mention on this thread.
@GTO Funkys in bandra has a few keychains.
The Mumbai Motor show had a stall with some good keychains but the guy says "Export/ wholesale orders only NO RETAIL" !
Hey GTO,
I love the keychains at ModelArt! its in inorbit mall in malad! they have keychains like shockers, endcans, brake disk with calipers, F1 wheels, etc. Love that kind of stuff!
I,m thinking ill get a nice small keychain and add a set of dog tags to it, one each for my dad and me! :)
Heres what i use right now! quite battered but nonetheless won't replace until a good enough alternative is found! :D
@speed0mania ModelArt @Inorbit mall is shut, Dippy spent a week in mourning :D
just got another idea! how about using a spark plug as a keychain!?
Now whats the smallest size of a spark plug? the normal one would be a little big for the small bike key i feel! what say?

And this is the one for the Accord ..
@speed0mania - I think this is the same as yours, but yours is slightly broken if I am not mistaken.

OT!
While we are at keychains, my ZXi comes with the remote for central locking. But the damn thing makes irritating noise each time it bangs onto the dashboard. Any idea how to resolve this ? :)

Yes, shorten it by removing the chain in the middle and connecting the ring directly to the remote.
But after doing that you have to be careful not to twist the ring lest it break the remote. usually, this happens when you keep the keychain in back pocket instead of front.
My autocop remote chain got broken, so I stitched a permanent leather case for the remote DIY style which doubles as a keychain and protects the remote lol:
So i have these three car keychains

One of them is Blue

Another one is Green

And one is Red

Also have this plane which plays the take off recording with lights flashing
