YetiBlog® - 26th December continued

The kids are happy to see us again!

Teichhaus is warm and toasty on the inside. I order some Hungarian Goulash, extra hot and spicy. This will warm me up on the inside. Everyone orders their Mets and Coffees and stuff and we all have a nice long chat.

Time to take a few photos and then we will continue walking. The sad thing about this beautiful sun is that it will last for a few hours only.

The lake looks beautiful, but already it has started freezing in places.

The boat house. However boating will resume only in the summer now. Everything is just so beautiful that I feel a little pain in my heart and I wish I had larger eyes to take in as much as I could before it gets really cold again when the sun sets.
It is now about -5.

YetiBlog® - Dilwale Braut le jayenge-dsc_6066_l.jpg
The freeze has started on the right side and continues slowly, almost in front of my eyes.
We throw some rocks and stones to watch them slide along the surface. The kids are fascinated.

Now it is time to continue our walk. The 3 of us decide to walk through the other end of the park, upto the hot springs.
YetiBlog® - Dilwale Braut le jayenge-dsc_6061_l.jpg

And so we walk through the chilly air, I look around me happily, staring at people, looking at the grass and the trees and at life in general all about me.

Now a drive up to the cafe on top of the hill. This cafe is called Johannisberg Cafe and I will visit it later on New Years' Eve. But now it is evening and we can still see all of Bad Nauheim below.

YetiBlog® - Dilwale Braut le jayenge-dsc_6141_l.jpg

The cafe looks beautiful.

YetiBlog® - Dilwale Braut le jayenge-dsc_6145_l.jpg

We sit inside for a while, enjoying some coffee and some cake.

YetoBlog® - 26th December 2008, evening at Frieberg

Friedberg is a 15 minute drive away and Jenny's friend is already at the cafe, waiting for us.
The cafe is extraordinary, full of character and with a very interesting French-Algerian owner. After spending a little while with them, I leave the girls alone and talk with Nounou in French.

He shows me around the cafe and I find it terribly interesting. I miss my tripod. Taking low light handheld shots is difficult and the highest speed film is grainy, but has a character of its own.
I could reduce colour noise with PS, but I'm enjoying the look here.

YetiBlog® - Dilwale Braut le jayenge-dsc_6175_l.jpg

After a few Irish Coffees it's time to leave.

L'addition, s'il vous plait I say smiling as I turn to the 2 terribly impressed German girls.

Later we drive through the town, so I can take some more photos. The town is nicely decorated for the season.

It's not too late when we reach home, but we're tired and it's time for bed. It has been another beautiful day in Germany. Good Night all.
