Did the PF amount also have some component of pension? I'm asking because I have transferred the PF balances of all my previous employers to my current employer. I did this online through the PF website.

However, I notice that some small amounts are still being shown in the passbooks of previous employers under the head Pension Balance (the last column in the passbooks). The total of these amounts is about 1.5 lakh.

Would you know about the procedure to transfer or withdraw this amount on retirement? Would it need me to visit all my previous employers? The PF website is not allowing me to initiate any transfer request for these pension amounts because the moment I enter the member ID, a message pops up saying PF balance is already transferred (which is true! But what about the pension balance?)

No this amount did not include the Pension part. Since you mentioned, I went and checked my passbook. My earlier PF account Pension amount also did not get transferred to the latest PF account. Will try to dig around for the procedure to withdraw the same. Will post if I get some information and am able to do the same

PF Pension will not get transferred to new account instead only your service years will be transferred. Pension amount is maintained separately from PF amount. If your total service is less than 10 years, during PF withdrawal you can withdraw pension amount too, but there is no interest is applicable.

If your service is more than 10 years, then you cannot withdraw pension amount and you will be eligible to receive applicable monthly pension once you attain 58 years of age.

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

Has anyone recently faced login issues? The sign-in button for me hasn't been working for a few weeks, after I enter the credentials and the captcha.

Further, has anyone had any experience with their support service, telephonic or email?
