Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

I'm not sure if this had been answered before, but shamelessly posting here.

I do not see my previous employer's name when I try to do the transfer of the corpus to my current employer. This was when I tried the One Transfer thingy.

Is there a manual method to get that done now? And do I need to contact my previous employer for this?

If your previous transfers is all between EPFO offices, it is automatic. No need for separate transfer.

If transfer involves at least one trust, it is needed to be taken care during transfer. Reason is EPS is always maintained with EPFO office even for trusts. No real money transfer happens. So if you submit transfer request only the PF corpus gets transferred between bank accounts of trust and EPFO.

I don't know why this EPS service transfer is not automated yet or even proper statement generated for EPFO accounts with trust.

Good to know, thanks for the clarifications. All my transfers so far have been with the EPFO offices.

One possible reason you are not seeing the previous employer's name in the list is if the 'Exit date' is not marked by the employer in the EPFO portal. You can verify this in the 'Service History' in the Unified portal (EPF site).

Thanks, I checked and found that the DOE in service history for that company is missing. When I tried to Mark Exit via the Manage page, this is the error that pops up.

It's surprising as I did receive PF for a solid three years in that company. It's not a small company too. Even the passbook shows some lakhs still in that.

Attachment 2537242
Looking at screen shot, We both have our PF In same Office

Do one thing, raise a Grievance with EPFO office asking them to update Date of exit for your previous employer. Attach your resignation along with your experience letters. If this fails, you need to get this updated via existing employer.

Please check whether all contributions - employee, employer and EPS are updated till your month of exit in the passbook of that old account.

Each PF year, employer submits multiple forms tallying the individual contributions and may have created some issues along the way. Best is to get your employer update it as they deal with PF regularly.

Thanks, I checked that. For no reason, the site shows 31 days in that period of employment where there were no contributions.

I've raised a grievance via the EPFiGMS. We'll see if that has any result. Else, I'd need to check with that particular employer and request them to have this rectified.

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

Post transfer to my current Org, My service history was not updated. After multiple grievances between old and new PF office in past 6 months , i reached a point where EPFO had no excuse to deny the update. For the last grievance raised closed on 28 Nov 2023, status was

Quote:
The process of inclusion of transfer in EPS service from the EPS Acct No. "GNGGN000xxxxxxx" to "TNMASxxxxxxxx" has been initiated and is under process for approval. Hence, the member is advised to kindly wait till the process is completed.
I inferred from above that it is done now and all good but i was wrong. I just checked my service history today again and it still do not show my service history of almost 9 years. Wondering if any one on the forum have any clues as how many days does it take for the above approval to complete or do i need to raise another grievance for this approval as well .

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

I got this response when I tried to transfer my PF and was rejected:
1) EPS SERVICE RECEIVED FROM TRANSFER IN.EPS NOT REMITTED IN 49399 CLARIFY SAME CONTACT EMPLOYER 2) FATHERs NAME DIFFERS

What am I supposed to do next? Write to my current or previous employer?

And what's with the Father's name issue? It's always been the same on the portal, and nothing had changed.

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

My wife’s PF interest for 22-23 is yet to update in the latest passbook. I can see my data updated couple of months back. Anyone else with similar situation.

EPF is very picky with details. Initial vs full last name etc can cause mismatch. Even a dot somewhere in the name too will cause mismatch. Best to get all details updated as per latest UAN or aadhaar+PAN by your previous employer.

Sometimes your previous employer won't be able to update the details directly in the portal (not sure why!). They will ask you to submit a "joint declaration form", which they will forward to the EPFO. But EPFO might still not update anything with no visibility on the process to you! If so, Ask your previous employer for the scanned copies that they submitted to the EPFO, and raise a greviance via pgportal (CPGRAMS) or EPFiGMS attaching the scanned forms. That should resolve everything.

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

Been trying to update my bank account for the last week. Status is 'Pending with Employer for digital signing'.

Confused as I have been self-employed ever since I left my employer in mid-2022. Any tips please?

I verified and it’s the same case with Umang app. Although there is no monetary losses, hoping the passbooks gets updated at least by Mar 31st.
