Yep, initially they made only tractors. The owner was a big fan of sports car and had a few ferraris. At a convention he met then owner of Ferrari and told him that there was some problem with clutches in Ferraris.

The Ferrari owner laughed his off, and asked him to go work on his tractors. The incensed Lamborghini owner went on to make the Lamborghinis as we know them today.

I believe he found out that Ferraris were using the same clutches that he was using in his tractors.
Is it true?

No, its false.
whats true is that the clutch maker who was supplying ferrari was same as the one who was supplying him. He rummaged through his parts inventory and was able to find a part which would work.
this is true modern day too. Do you know that Eicher tractor clutch plate( I forgot model) is a perfect fit for 1999 gypsy king Carb

Yes, its true. Lamborghini made tractors. I knew this point long ago.

Initially Furruccio ( spelling might be wrong ) Lamborghini ( Furruccio is the person who established Lamborghini ) made tractors from stolen military vehicles. He also made air conditioners.

Regarding the clutch issue, well, Furruccio Lamborghini owned Ferrari. The clutch in his Ferrari was not working to his satisfaction. He told this to Enzo Ferrari. Enzo Ferrari replied that you dont know how a clutch is suppossed to be, you are a tractor maker.
Afterwards Lamborghini grew and is now a top level contender from promising new comer.
