Considering the current IPL session, I too had a hat-trick of sorts. Dined 3 days in a row:D

Fri : Our beloved "Hotel Ebony" with a few tbhpian's. I absolutely love the food there and will visit them again and again.

Sat : My old time favorite, Papaji da Dhaba. Great finger licking dhaba style food as always.

Sun : Need for sizzler was too high. So after a long time visited Indijoe's as got bored of Yoko's.

It came as a pleasant surprise. I would rate their sizzler better than Yoko's and their quantity is way too much than Yoko's. Tastes better too.

Spicy Chicken Sizzler : Rs.340
Mutton Shashlik Sizzler : Rs.355
Cheese and Mustard Sauce Mashed Potatoes : Rs. 25

Spicy Chicken has huge pieces of grilled chicken and they tasted fabulous

Mutton was presented on skewers inside the sizzler. Soft and Flavoursome

Total Damage : Rs.890 ( Out of which Rs.170 is tax...Whewww)

Enough of eating out, I told myself i am going to survive on salads, fruit juice, sprouts and Phulkas for rest of the week:mad:

Last night after a huge party session, had an early morning brunch 3:00AM (10 hours ago) at Hotel Hampshire Plaza

From the entire buffet, had only the Haleem, Kheema and Pao as no mood to gorge on food at that unearthly hour.

Dessert, had Double ka Meetha

Haleem, Kheema and Double Ka Meetha was outstanding.

Pao was not soft enough, it was disintegrating in the hands unlike the softness it should have.

I'll go back only for the Haleem and Kheema:thumbs up

We 5 friends decided to meet up and eat some meat.

Had a great lunch at Four Seasons.
We ordered:

1 Green Salad.
2 Qabsa Laham, both with extra meat.
2 Pathar ka gosh
3 Garlic naans
1 Humous
1 Mutabel
1 Mutton biryani
2 Qurbani ka Meetha
1 Um Ali

Burrp.

Bill about 2300.

Its the third shop on the right, when you enter Begum Bazaar from Osmania Hospital side. You will find good variety of BBQ Stations there.

Oh Yeah, that road is lined up with those steel vessels and now i recall they also have these rustic barbeque grills as well.

Since its being discussed here, I'll give you directions from Hotel Shadab to this shop just to make sure we dont go offtopic on this threadrl:

If you are going in the morning, then I'll give you directions from a breakfast joint, which serves tasty Makkhan Dosa & Makkhan Idli's lol:

On a serious note, I urge you to be a bit carefull while buying it. They would show you a couple of rusted ones too, so be carefull what you buy. The most imporant thing is the grill, which has to be neatest of all. The outer body would not be much of an issue.

Omer Dhaba near Hi Tec
Its on the right hand side after you cross the Hi Tec towards Novotel.

The menu is simple
Bagara Khana with Daalcha: Rs 25
Biryani (Kalyani and Chicken): Rs 50
Beef fry with 2 Rumali Rotis: Rs 50.

Soft drinks and chilled water.

Service is fast. But since they don't have a kitchen, if you go early you may have to wait.

Simple table chairs, 2 Charpoys and makeshift shade from the sun.

The biryani had little meat but the rice was well done.
Beef fry was spicy and good.
Rulami rotis were soft and hot.

Bagara Khana was the only veg offering.
Not very sure about the dalcha.
I have generally had Daalcha with bones added for flavour.
But this did appear veg to me.

Had lunch at this place called 'rasamayi' on the nizampet road.

Starters:

Sweet corn soup
Pepper Chicken ( Very nice)
Chilly Chicken

Main Course:

Gongura Mutton(ok, i would still rate the one we had @ warangal the best,follwed by the one at rayaseema ruchula)
Butter chicken( gravy was nice ,pieces were not cooked that well)

All this was followed with a cornetto cone.

Would rate the place /food -2.5/5

Unless you have no options left on the nizampet road do visit this place.

p.s: on the nizampet road again you have this place called food junction ,they have really cool frankie/rolls,Try their kolkata chicken roll:thumbs up

Hey Rajesh, Have you moved to Nizampet? If yes, where? I stay right behind Food Junction.

At Food Junction, try their indian cuisine as well. It is pretty decent as well.

Rajesh bhai, good to see you back on this thread. Knowing your outing is as or more frequent than mine. Do keep updating this thread with your foodie tours.

I agree the Gongura Mutton at City Grand in Warangal was outstanding. I told my cousin who keeps visiting to get a couple of plates and each time he forgets:deadhorse

Road Number 1, Banjara Hills.
Veg Buffet, Rs 225 including taxes.

You get the soup and starters served at your table.
Choice of two soups. I liked the tomato. Did not like the other one.

The starters were very nice.
The ambiance is very nice. The water thing in the middle is very soothing and I liked it. The food is ok. Some dishes are good. The chat was excellent. The deserts were nice. A choice of three flavors for ice cream.
The feeling however is that its not worth 225.

But its a decent place to take someone who only eats veg.
Since I know very few such people. I would not be going back. :)

@bblost - Bikanerwala is quite bad - I am comparing to Haldiram outlets elsewhere.

Went to Mozzarella @rd 12 Banjara Hills two days back - very dimly lit given that majority of crowd were families with noisy and small kids. It is quite wierd - they have a few punjabi dishes along with predominatly Italian cuisine. It is all Veg.

Kids enjoyed Penne Pasta in white sauce - tasted OK, My made to order Pizza (which I wanted as close to Dominos Gourmet) was disaster, Wife was Ok with Canneloni F which was not as heavy on cheese as some of the others. Usual mocktails - high priced, icecreams to be avoided - baklava ok.

2 adults, 2 kids - 1300/- damages.

I think we will stick to Little Italy because of habit and ample light.

Well, this restaurant is not exactly in Hyderabad. It is actually near Suryapet (140 KM from Hyderabad on NH-9). I found this when I did a road trip last weekend to Dwaraka Tirumala (in West Godavari district of A.P.) via Suryapet & Khammam. The restaurant is named "7". It was built over 3 or 4 acres, has sparkling clean rest rooms, and a huge food court. Food court has options for "Soth Indian", North Indian", Chinese, "Chaat", "Thanda (drinks)" and "confectioneries". It was opened 4 months ago by M/s "People combine hospitality".







We had breakfast at this place during our onward journey, and liked the food - Plain Dosa (with 3 types of chutneys and Sambar) and Filter coffee. Hence, when we started our return journey we already made up our mind to stop for lunch at 7. We reached at around 2 PM and the place is bustling with peak hour crowd. yet, we found a table immediately, and ordered south Indian Thali. It was a very elaborate affair- sweet (Jalebi and Kheer) was followed by mini pooris and parathas to launch into a variety of veg curries. Piping hot rice was served to go with dal, pickles, podis (gun powder), pacchi pulusu, majjiga charu, sambar, rasam, curd, and "ulava charu with cream".

The food was outstanding (must be the best thali I had in years), but what took the cake was the service. Despite it being peak hour, the staff were very polite and prompt, and were constantly encouraging us to go for additional helpings of food. I am sure this place will soon be the most popular pit stop on NH-9.

@Nag, that doesnt look like India. Great discovery.
