infact even the chicken tikka masala is good. not sure if you are refering to the jumbo size rotis as tandoori parathas ,but those rotis are amazing.

hope you also had paan after the meal

pandeyji: as usual the gur nihal egg paratha and achari chicken was for me last evening. gur nihal folks should patent these two ,infact if they just have the 2 only in their menu ,the place would still be full house.

had sizzlers at the noddle bar in hyderabad central for lunch

the noddle bar signature sizzler is a combination of paneer ,prawns and chicken with all the usual ghaas phus of a sizzler dish( baby corn ,rice ,noddles ,french fries etc)

we were three of us who shared 2 sizzlers( inr 315 each)

had lemon ice tea with that.

not bad for that kind of price. although i would still prefer having sizzlers at either yoko or kobe.

Adda

Did any of you guys tried a Hotel known as ADDA opposite RS Brothers in KPHB colony? One of my colleagues has suggested this place for authentic Andhra food.

lunch was at kairali today.for some reason i like that place even after cribbing about its ambience.

we were 4 of us and we ordered:-

a) veg thali
b) roasted chicken( less of chicken ,more of the ghaas phus in it)
c) chicken kebab( more like chicken meat balls fried)
d) chicken biryani

they have stopped giving apam for lunch now and thats replaced with lacha paratha.

total inr for-300

some put offs:-

a) no electricity ( luckily the weather is nice since yesterday night ,so not much of a hassle)
b) wash basin not working

still the place was full house

Dadu's: The sweet shop opposite Paradise. They also have a branch in HimayatNagar.

The walnut sweet is simply awesome. Got it as a gift from someone and a visit to this shop is now pending.
The sweet comes wrapped in gold foil and has the texture of son papdi.

Try it. You will love it.

Never posted on this thread before so i thought i should start off with my favourite restraunt: Barbecue nation (opposite city centre).
Always have lunch there atleast once a week.
Only buffet about 300 bucks a head.
Unlimited starters, you can grill your own starters. Plus there is also a sumptous buffet, including soup, biryani, 3 non veg curries(chicken, mutton, crab) ( i dont know about the veg curries sorry) good deserts and a free beer (you can order more ala carte)
We should have a tbhp meet there.

Guys,
I don't know if someone has covered this before, but I had kulfi from a 'thela-wallah' opp. Food World on PG Road a few days back, and it was awesome---the best I've had so far. Cost me only Rs 10.
Prior to that, I thought Kulfi at Dadu's was the best.

BTW, there is a Baisakhi festival on at Fortune Katriya till 19th---free booze and Punjabi dishes for Rs 550/- in the evening hours.

My wife is crazy about Dadu's and i take her there atleast twice a week. Her favorites are golgappas and jalebis. Btw, try their Orange coconut sweet, out of this world. This is at Himayathnagar branch.

Agree. One of the best buffets out there. However, the same buffet priced at 450++ in the evening is not VFM

If you search this thread, i reckon i have posted about this kulfi wala already. Awesome stuff. It is right next to the Kache Dabeli wala thela.

FK always has that offer going but added to that punjabi dishes, sounds quite interesting. But, i am booked most evenings until 19th so i may have to give it a miss this time

As mentioned by Rajesh, Wanton is pretty decent. I've had food there about 7 times now in the past 3 months. Good food, quantity and ambiance. Service should be faster though.

Another place I frequent is Kasani GR on the main Madhapur road near Ginger Court. Lunch Buffet has a good spread with about 15-17 items (including desserts) for 160 per head

Yes dinner is not very VFM but it is worth it if you like seafood.

Taking Rajesh's recommendation, been to "Yoko's Sizzlers" last night. Looks like recession hit them as well.

There is a 15% off if you order 1-2 sizzlers and if you order 3 or more then 1 sizzler is complimentary. We should do a mini-dinner meet here soon.

Chicken Shaslik Sizzler- Rs.295
Veg Sizzler- Rs.225
Fried Fish with Tartar Sauce-Rs.185
2 Thumbs Up's-Rs.90
Belgian Dark Chocolate Icecream-Rs65
Total Damages : Rs.850

There is only one word for sizzlers, it was just awesome. The quantity is pretty decent so between two people, one sizzler is actually fine.

Fried Fish was bland and didnt like the tartar sauce at all.

I realized it is best to stick to just sizzlers and not experiment with other items in this place.

So when does the HYD CUG wants to go here for dinner?

Does Neera know about this madamoiselle?

Are we going to see "Mobike008 + 2" in the lists soon? (and I do not mean a bawling brat in diapers).

When do we meet this dark horse / hidden treasure?

Cheers,
