Thanks for the information, Ranjit.

Self & Lucifer1881 were down that road on sunday and I did see the building.

For old timer Hydeez, all we need to say is that it is just short of Rock Castle Bakery & Hotel on Road No. 6 of Banjara Hills.

I saw the hotel last week and was totally unimpressed. It looked like an old dilapidated building, left me wondering how Radisson is associated with that place or may be the architecture and the facade was beyond my understanding - a Roark design maybe.

I have seen them in Deli 9. Road Number 1, Banjara Hills.

Contrary to popular opinion, I like this place. They make good cakes and I also like the breads.

Oh no. Those are not macaroons. They are more like meringues. I mean real macaroons made the traditional way. Not just having a nameplate in front.

I remember seeing these at some place, I even had it there but I do not remember exactly where I had it. It was good to taste and I thoroughly enjoyed it though. However, I am lost on where I had it.

Deli 9 would be the last place on earth, where I would go to buy a Cake. There are many better places as opposed to Deli9. At the whiff, I can list down 5 better places, who make amazing lip smacking delicious cakes as opposed to Deli9.

The karachi macaroons were close to as authentic as the ones one gets in Bandra.

Because quite a few people were referring to macaroons all of a sudden in the previous page.

They also went back in history to the era of the Nizam and the royal court.

Hence the sudden craving for sinful things like macaroons made from almond paste etc.

That of course would bring us to marzipan, another delicacy made from almonds. But that is another story.

The closest one gets in taste and typically Hyderabadi are the badaam ki jaalis made by the traditional cooks on spl. order.

Travelholic, Hyd-traveller and Bblost all referred to macaroons and harem as well. There was however a typographical error in the spelling.

Even I love delectable macaroons had a lot of them when I was in Ireland is there any place other than Deli9 where we can get them,

Badaam ki jaalis are very rare to find I had it once at a wedding a couple of years ago and it was divine.

Slightly off topic, but talking of Deli9, anyone know if F9 Diner has moved out of their place in Kothaguda junction? I saw something called Spice Bar.
